Was he acting while on the 2024 campaign trail? Or "acting" now?
What is the "MAGA" agenda in 2026 and moving forward?

Whoever wrote that column is a fool.

Americans do not just want illegal immigrants removed. They want the hiring magnet destroyed. They overwhelmingly support punishing companies that employ illegal labor.

Youre in a bubble. People don't like the immigration stuff. How its being handled.

Its what the man does. Very little discipline for day to day. He needed to have a pinch of Bill Clinton love for policy
The weird tantrums about Epstein really hurt him as well.
Completely disappointed in Trump 47 - his biggest achievements are foreign interventions which is explicitly not what we voted for.
Kudos on sealing the southern border its unfair not to mention that. But its not fixed and the next Dem president will simply open it back up.

The blame for inaction lies solely on the Republican Senate
It also lies with Trump, who talked a loud and steady game before more or less tucking his tail between his legs. He's spent like a nut, bombed several countries, likely will land us in a war before he leaves office, the economy is garbage, corruption is rampant and he's more interested in screaming insults on his social media company about someone's wife. Right now, his second term is looking meh at best and a failure at worst. There's nothing behind him. No one trusts the GOP and why should they? They believe in nothing but grift and war. At least the left creates the illusion of believing in something.
Trump was supposed to be the counterbalance and he's increasingly becoming a caricature. And when the midterms are over, he's going to spend the rest of his term fighting impeachments and congressional drama. At that point, the republican party may never see the inside of the White House again.

Will this effect his run for a third term?
Assuming the numbers and overall sentiment of the article are true I’d be pretty worried if I were Vance. If MAGA wants to have a lasting legacy we need him to win in ‘28 and continue to build on what Trump has started.

Speak for yourself, cupcake. Americans want them all gone. We're fine with getting the worst out first, since every one of those savages you send to CECOT is one less opportunity for the next Laken Riley to be murdered.
At the end of the day, if you didn't follow the processes set by law to be present in the United States legally, you are a criminal and have no right to remain in the US. Period.
Sorry that hurts your tender sensibilities.

Keep posting memes as the rating for under 40 keeps plummeting. That will surely bring us all back

Drooling morons buying into polls, most people are perfectly fine with how illegal immigration crackdown is being handled. Democrats and the usual spineless RINO's are clutching pearls.

It's very difficult to implement anything when you hire incompetent boobs in almost all key positions because daddy Bibi told you to.

Trump made matters worse by signaling a narrowing of deportations to only the “worst criminals,” while simultaneously negotiating with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who reportedly has an active criminal referral at the Department of Justice. To many in Trump’s coalition, this likely feels like a rug pull, as my barrage of private X messages imply. A betrayal of expectations. Something uncomfortably close to “read my lips.”
This is emotional drivel. Tom Homan said they were reducing agents in MN because the locals agreed to work with ICE. One agent can take an illegal from a jail where it takes 8 to take him from the public.
Homan even said that deportations would continue and that the number of agents would depend on the cooperation received.
For all the little bitches who want deportations but cry when they see it actually happen, this is the best response from the administration. Americans have become so fricking soft that they are actually hurting efforts to achieve what they claim to want.
Many would prefer to have a child raped as long as they don't have to see or hear about it than to watch that "poor brown" rapist surrounded by screeching, ugly liberals be arrested on the news with cries of racism. They don't care about reality, only what they see on TV and social media.
I believe Tom Homan will do what he says and that is to continue deportations of anyone with a removal order. Trump "signaling a narrowing of deportations to only the 'worst criminals'" is clearly a PR move, but that won't stop the complaining. We're an emotional society with logic and reason as an afterthought.

Voters do not want budget cuts that would impact their life.
Like voters want less immigration but now believe ICE has gone too far

Wasn’t much of the doge effort stonewalled by judges, attorneys, and politicians connected to NGOs/similar orgs and the handouts that were being scrutinized?
