2.2 million positives in America as of today 6-19-20. That's 0.73% of America over the course of 6 months using 300 Million as the population (if go with higher population that under 1% will get even smaller).

2.2 million out of 27 million tests. A whole lot of people have had the virus and recovered without ever knowing they were sick

Something like one in 10 Americans live in the NYC metro area. You really don't know a single person from here?

The metro area is a massive plot that spans 4 states. Not exactly the same as NYC itself

I didn’t know anyone who had it as of last week. Today, I know 5 people who are under 50 who tested positive. 2 are in the hospital, 1 feels like a bad cold, 1 no symptoms.

In my unit we had 3 positive cases after disinfecting Nursing Homes. They were sick as frick.

My wife's grandmother died after two weeks of being positive for COVID 19.

It's real dude, don't need to be a Karen about sanitizing but don't need to be an a-hole about wearing a damn mask when asked to in private businesses either.

Same here. My parents are both in their early eighties, and have not changed their routine in regard to going out in public. I guess they have super immune systems.

2 guys at work had family members test positive.

Both 20 years old.

Both got 14 days off.

One of the security guards at our church has it.
He’s in bad shape.

Is this a 2nd wave or just a continuing roll of the first wave with things opening back up? We expected more cases when people returned to life but 5 people in 1 week was more than I expected.

I know three people who got it.

But proves as little as your anecdotal evidence.

Of those 27 million tested, how many got infected since taking the test?

Dangit! Now we gotta test them all again!

It’s amazing how many fricking liberals know someone who has had it.

My boss got it a couple months ago and a coworker just tested positive this week.

The panic.

It’s a virus. We can’t make it stop. It will work its way through our population. “There’s an outbreak in Florida!!” “Cool, they have 15,000 beds left open. Let’s keep moving.”

“We don’t have enough testing!!”
“We tested over 600,000 today!”
“But we need 1,000,000!!”

“A healthy 17 year old died!”
“He wasn’t healthy and it may not gave even been Covid.”
“Why do you hate science?”

It’s a clown show. Even you know it deep down.

I was just asking what you meant exactly. I fully hope we can keep things open and not go back to shutting everything down again. I don’t believe we should go through that again unless our hospitals become overrun.

Eh. It’s probably not even worth it if our hospitals are over capacity. I see no indication that will happen.

Unless there is an effective treatment I tend to agree. What can a hospital really do for you at this point anyway? Improve your chances of survival slightly?
