You are not helping the poor by giving them shitty fast food and letting them waste money. That wingstop meal could have feed them for a few days if they spent the money on actual groceries(not junk food).

Its not just restaurants...
Most delivery apps offer it as well. Instacart, Uber Eats etc. Someone on welfare shouldn't be able to use that shite on convenience apps, whose paying the delivery fee and tip on that shite?

Why are black people so proud of their welfare? Being a leech who can't support a family used to be shameful. Now the dregs are boasting about it on social media. Those kind of people will never be worthwhile citizens.

That's the biggest difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals have no conscience therefore they can feel no shame or remorse.

More than I'm willing to give them. Buy your own groceries like normal people. End all welfare

Crackhead gets $500 EBT card.
Crackhead would rather have $250 cash for crack.
Crackhead sells the EBT card for $250.
Buyer gets $500 groceries for $250.
Blame the crackhead, not the buyer.

Their politicians get elected by promising to give them more of other people's money.

Some of those cards work just like debit cards anywhere.

I moved back to AZ a few years ago and immediately noticed EBT signs in the window of McDonald's and other fast food places and looked it up. The state page had some garbage about this being allowed in "underserved" communities where it was difficult to prepare home cooked meals.
First off, we're a decent sized military town, and we might be in the middle of nowhere, but we have Walmart, Target, a half dozen grocery stores, and a PX and Commissary . There's nothing difficult about making a meal here.
Secondly, I can think of few places in the world where it's more economically feasible to eat fast food than it is to procure meat, veg, and a heat source.
Absolute horseshite.

No different then people buying boiled crawfish or gas station snacks here.
Or checking out with majority no-name brand groceries while the mom with 4 kids has $1200 of brand name items and crab legs. True story.

I’m telling you. Within 5 years food stamp recipients will have their food delivered to their front door for free (or via the taxpayer). And it’ll be UberEats and DoorDash going along with it.
I'm ok with this if it's a predefined delivery. Kind of like the old government cheese and commodity pickups

The ability to cook real meals is a dying art in America. That would almost certainly spur a resurgence while saving some money at the same time.

If I were offered a card to pay for fast food because politicians and bureaucrats thought I was incapable of cooking chicken and rice I would be insulted. Hell, I might even buy into crazy theories that the government has a vested interest in both keeping me fat, dumb, poor, and dependent, as well as finding a way to dispose of a massive amount of subsidized food products.

If you look at birth charts, the welfare class is having more kids than everyone else, deep plummet in the middle, and then a horse shoe for the wealthiest.
This country is in trouble. JD is proving to be more and more of an excellent pick, Musk is probably the commander in chief of encouraging more children but his tactics are a little less than desirable

That to me is just bullshite. You can cook a tasty, healthy meal from scratch in 20 minutes, and you dont need to be a chef to do it. Ground meat is cheap, pasta/rice is cheap, produce is cheap. All of the junk food (like chips etc) is what adds up. A pound of ground pork costs less than a bag of chips.
There is really no excuse to not cook at home. Cast iron skillets and pots dont even cost that much, shite I wouldnt even mind if EBT credit allowed for that if it meant people not loading up on soda and fast food, we can avoid paying for their cardiac arrest down the road

Elimination of junk food, fast food, prepared and/or processed meals, and soda is the way.
