When I worked with Miller we had an office in NO and I worked a lot with the distributor. Lousiana has a law that if you distribute alcohol the accounts have to pay you in cash or check, there is no credit. This is before debit cards and a lot of bars paid cash and ALL the chinese groceries paid cash.
So you had routes, routes with armed security, and then you had the 9th ward route. For that route they rented two NOPD cops and a cop car to follow the truck, get out with shotguns and guard the thing while our guys delivered.
We had some guys from corporate come down from Milwaukee and wanted to see some "urban" accounts. I took them in the first one, addicts in the front, bullet proof glass enclosing the register, one "bad john" area. One of the guys from from Milwaukee asked the owner, "arent you scared". The guy said, I grew up in Beirut this aint so bad......

Yes. Amazon has developed its on private FedEx style service. Been operating for years now in many cities.

I have stated this all along... There will become areas that Delivery drivers, Food Delivery, Gas, Utility workers, postal people, ambulances, Cops etc... That they will start refusing to go due to safety concerns.

That’s what needs to be done. Business’ need to stop providing services to their communities and when they branch out and start stealing they will get shot.
