As I said earlier, science is a method. Scientists are people, and the ones who happen to believe in neo-Darwinism are no more or less susceptible to bias and personal prejudice than those who study the Covid vax, global warm....er, climate change or any other field that has an obvious impact on a person's larger worldview.
He may be arrogant or stupid enough to believe this one particular field (on one side only, of course) is populated by 100% objective, perfect humans who remain completely neutral in their studies and conclusions. He's wrong.

Back in the first half of the 20th century, a group called Technocracy Incorporated wanted to reorganize society by putting scientists in charge. The movement flamed out, but its underlying message still appeals to many in Silicon Valley. By Ira Basen June 28, 2021
quote:
On Oct. 13, 1940, a Regina chiropractor named Joshua Haldeman appeared in city court to face two charges under the Defence of Canada Act. His alleged offence was belonging to Technocracy Incorporated, an organization that had been banned by the Canadian government several months earlier as part of a larger sweep of groups it considered subversive to the war effort. Technocracy Incorporated was not a political movement – in fact, politicians or members of political parties were not allowed to join. It was founded in New York City in 1933 as an educational and research organization promoting a radical restructuring of political, social and economic life in Canada and the United States, with science as its central operating principle. Listen to the full documentary on Technocracy on CBC Radio's Ideas There would be no politicians, business people, money or income inequality. Those were all features of what Technocracy called the “price system,” and it would have to go. There would be no countries called Canada or the United States, either – just one giant continental land mass called the Technate, a techno-utopia run by engineers and other “experts” in their fields. In the Technate, everyone would be well-housed and fed. All material needs would be taken care of, whether you had a job or not. Joshua Haldeman was a leader of Technocracy Incorporated in Canada from 1936 to 1941, but eventually became disillusioned with both the organization and the country, and packed up his young family to start life anew in South Africa. In June 1971, Haldeman’s daughter Maeve gave birth to his first grandson. His name is Elon Musk.

Science should always be debunking itself, that's why it's science. The problem is when people adopt science as their religion and become dogmatic about it. So much about cosmology has followed a pattern that does not follow the scientific method, but rather clings to presuppositions that are sacred, so when new data is measured that completely contradicts the fundamentals as they are understood, do they go back to formula? No they just create unobserved constants to plug into their formulas that patch over the holes so you get the shambling Frankenstein that is the current state of the field. Yet they have no problem speaking definitively about what happened billions of years ago without being able to explain adequately why we even have as much gravity/mass as we observe. It's shockingly unscientific.

It's been used as a power word for decades now; a word meant to shut down any further disagreements. "The science is settled", "the science says", or the evil dwarf's breathtakingly arrogant claim of "I AM science". It amazes me that people see the flaws in the research world in certain areas but then pretend the area where they agree with the consensus is magically free of any human influence.
Not only are scientists normal people with the same flaws your average gas station clerk has, scientism is a grossly inadequate framework on which to base a society. The scientific method can tell me how to feed a population or starve a population; it's silent on which of those is a desirable goal.

To my knowledge, gravity still is considered a force.
The 4 forces are: Strong nuclear, weak nuclear, electro-magnetic and gravity.
Newton's law of universal gravitation is usually stated as that every particle attracts every other particle in the universe with a force that is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers.

quote:I've got a history discussing these topics with him. His hatred of God goes beyond this one discussion. He has suppressed the truth about God as his creator and his judge and he seeks to be god of his own life. He wants nothing to do with the true and living God and is doing everything he can to curse His name and cause others to do the same.
How is it anger to point out the historical development of monotheistic belief in Judaism and Christianity?

If “God” existed outside of time, he wouldn’t have had to correct so many of his mistakes, like putting a big beautiful fruit free from which an ignorant man and woman were forbidden to eat.
quote:The language of regret is anthropomorphic so that we understand the real effects of our sin and God's justice against sin.
He wouldn’t have regretted creating mankind. He wouldn’t have regretted killing mankind in a flood.

He wouldn’t have promised victory to the Israelites and went with them into battle as Yahweh Sabaoth only to lose to the Canaanites with their iron chariots and lose to King Mesha of Moab.

Study Challenges Evolutionary Theory That DNA Mutations Are Random
quote:
Quick Summary
* DNA mutations are not random as previously thought
* Findings change our understanding of evolution
UC Davis (that bastion of religious and conservative science)
quote:
“These are the really important regions of the genome,” Monroe said. “The areas that are the most biologically important are the ones being protected from mutation.”
Is that coherent enough for you?
Then theres this

New UC Davis Research Using DNA Changes Origin of Human Species
New Model for Human Evolution Suggests Homo sapiens Arose From Multiple Closely Related Populations
It would take a lot more billions of years to have gone from chimp to Homo Sapien, right?
quote:
“This uncertainty is due to limited fossil and ancient genomic data, and to the fact that the fossil record does not always align with expectations from models built using modern DNA,” she said. “This new research changes the origin of species.”
these studies prove there were no big leaps in evolution. Genes didnt mutate randomly, and Homo Sapiens came from very closely related populations as a result. Try to keep up, and you wont be basing your claims on outdated theories
Again, UC Davis. And their world famous Bible studies programs, amirite?

There is a theory of gravity that considers it a force. And for real world applications here on Earth, it will get you to the "right" answer. But general relativity's explanation of what we perceive as "gravity" is more accurate than Newton's theory.

No, that makes zero sense. Just like thinking there's some mystical force that "keeps us on the ground."

Well, I do know that Jesus himself told us not to judge others, but hey, maybe you know better than he does. Carry on.
