Youre beyond help. The very definition of theory is an "unproved assumption", so if the assumption behind the theory is accepted as unproven, then the theory itself is unproven.
You admit you are a 9th grade dropout.
Due to your own incompetence, and me being a nice guy, I did the leg work for you. Look, I pulled this straight off the American museum of natural history’s homepage:
quote:
In everyday use, the word "theory" often means an untested hunch, or a guess without supporting evidence. But for scientists, a theory has nearly the opposite meaning. A theory is a well-substantiated explanation of an aspect of the natural world that can incorporate laws, hypotheses and facts. The theory of gravitation, for instance, explains why apples fall from trees and astronauts float in space. Similarly, the theory of evolution explains why so many plants and animals—some very similar and some very different—exist on Earth now and in the past, as revealed by the fossil record.
I am embarrassed for you.

He was nerding out on curving space-time.
Even when I was in school, 2000 and 3000 level physics taught gravity as a force. Even some recent papers I read referred to it as a force. I had no ideas before yesterday that it was now sometimes referred to as an “interaction” along with strong and weak nuclear “interactions” and magnetic “interactions”.

Noted.

Practically speaking, it can be treated as a force. Theoretically, I don’t even consider it an “interaction.” I think it is more accurate to say objects simply move along geodesics.

I really do not want to get in this fight but pulling something from the government is specious at best.
This same government puts this warning on cigarette packages "smoking causes cancer". So.. as the scientists on here know, that simply is not true.

Please expound. I wanna see this logic pretzel.

Go to any legitimate source that explains what a “scientific theory” is and you’ll find that it is defined as a basis for explanation of natural phenomena based on an overwhelming preponderance of observable evidence that has repeatedly tested and shown to be factually true.
It is the opposite of that idiot claiming a scientific theory is a guess, a hunch, without positive evidence to back the assertion. Evolution is not “just a theory”, rather it has been elevated to the highest level of scientific fact which is a “scientific theory”.

M ope, don't smoke at all but the statement I made is factual

Evolution is not “just a theory”,
I'm not sure someone is arguing against evolution. Everything "evolves". It is my "perception " that man is currently evolving to go bald. I think we have almost lost the need for hair in the head.
I have posted before, the biggest issue that I see is the creation of a new species from another species
Given how nature works, I'm hoping for more proof that, as of now, we simply do not have. For that specific part, that is more theory than fact.

Like in the same way that everyone dies from cardiac arrest? Because you are much more likely to get cancer as a smoker. That’s not some govt lie.

Is that a long the same lines as "it's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop"?

I’m certainly not, but that’s the dishonest shell game they play. The parallels to the covidians are obvious.
