More of a hope that someone comes to their senses. I'm not thinking the country is circling the drain, but this admin is actively hurting the country. A lot of fat is being cut. But a lot of essentials are also being cut. Research and Innovation is our most valuable asset.
You know who does that? Foreigners with something to prove and are seeking American citizenship. A ton of really important research is funded by taxpayer dollars.
It's not a game. Yet yall continue to see it that way. I know most of you have only lived in the shitter that is Louisiana, so you don't really understand, but the rest of the country has been absolutely fine for the past two decades and a lot of that is because we consistently welcome people that want to do better while simultaneously staying on the cutting edge of tech and research.
It's just a lack of perspective. It's okay, and I hope you figure it out. Truly. But if this post can make a single person analyze why they are celebrating this other than "their team", I'll take a million melt comments and downvotes. Most of the time that means I'm on the right path anyway.
