Those States are free to keep their dumb rules in effect.

Why are those States denying choice to other States?

Because they are Nazi/communist who want to rule and make everyones choices for them.

At least at my students (high school) get some choices other than just hot lunch but still most of it is like eating card board that a Yankee cooked and seasoned.

My son makes his own lunch everyday. He's in public school and won't touch school lunches.

My daughter is in private school and buys lunch from the Coffee Rani food truck everyday.

Do any of you still doubt the Left HATE children?

The Code of Ham-on-Rye-Be handed down by Michael was universally hated by kids and most of this garbage was being thrown in, well, the garbage....

The Left are like terrorists: They will use kids as human shields in a HEARTBEAT if it furthers their Jihad....

Remember when the left complained that the religious right wanted to tell them what to do, control their behaviors and invade their bedrooms? I remember.

Relaxing rules gives states, and local school districts more power in selecting food for its students. how are the states that are suing hurt? cant they just enact stricter requirement if thats what they want?

So by removing the restrictions, does it mean school districts MUST ignore the previous standards? Does the law prohibit them from making it a school district standard?

I went to a small private elementary school that served McDonalds/Subway/Sonic/Picadilly 3-4x a week and fat kids were rare. Probably because our parents weren't feeding us crap after school or failing to supervise us.

Fat kids snacks after school are cokes, juice boxes, Gatorade, other sugar drinks and boxed cookies, cerals and other boxed snacks.

Kids with healthy weight don't have sugar drinks in the house and the snacks are a variety of fruits, cheeses and meats.

But then the kids can't blame OMB for shitty tasting food. Well, they can until they find out it's still Michael Obama's food standards.

“Over a million children in New York -- especially those in low-income communities and communities of color -- depend on the meals served daily by their schools to be healthy, nutritious, and prepare them for learning,” New York Attorney General Letitia James said in a statement. “The Trump Administration has undermined key health benefits for our children -- standards for salt and whole grains in school meals -- with deliberate disregard for science, expert opinion, and the law. My office will use every tool at our disposal to fight back against these shameful rollbacks and ensure our children our protected.”

Is this person retarded? So instead of having New York schools continue serving the same food, they sue the dept of of agriculture for allowing their schools to have a choice. What a waste of taxpayer money.

To protect the Obama legacy.

Trump is undoing a lot of the Obama era nonsense and they don't like it so they're doing anything they can to stymy Trump

Several U.S. states sued the Trump administration on Wednesday, seeking to undo its recent decision to relax standards for restricting sodium content and requiring whole grains in school breakfasts and lunches.

If the schools feel that strongly about it, can't they provide however much salt they want and force feed the kids grain like they were on the train to Vealtown?

Once you understand that a Leftist feels the need to CONTROL everyone and make them conform to their narrow worldview, everything they do will make "sense".

was it during the obama administration when a lady from a school district argued that a the tomato sauce on the school pizza could be filed under vegetables?
