I went out and rasied 60 million from scratch from private equity and from high wealth individuals when i was 35 years old. I sold that company and retired right at 50. Dont mean to brag but you saying I would be at Bob Evans and I will tell you I can buy 20 Bob Evans today. And I bet my boat is bigger than your house. If you dont agree it is difficult to get things done when 90% of the people are fighting you on what you are doing you are an idiot. The establishment was so against him because he was not one of them. I am fortunate because I have no worries. I just feel for my nephews and young folks that you leftits have taken away the American dream I was able to live. And you are heading toward socialism and more giveaways.
By the way St Pete if you havent visited is a very nice upscale city and the bums and street beggars were run off to tampa. And the downtown now is beautiful and is totally clean and upscale now. Not sure what early birds are but the only early bird I see is when I get up at 5 am to handicap the horses for my current job which isnt a job but just playing the horses daily since I have nothing but time on my hands.

Here's my 2 cents, I know you have been waiting for it.
My company has had serious supply chain issues for the fall season. Power outages in China, port congestion leading to boats skipping the port, port congestion on this end, lack of truck chases to get items from port, lack of warehouse workers to receive items, diverting items to out of the way locations... we are a full month behind. Items that would have set 10/1 will set 11/1 or 11/7. Retailers aren't flinching, because it's so common right now. On top of this, we are seeing increased theft from containers sitting at ports on both coasts. It's a cluster.
How are people living? I think most of us here have the expectation of a certain lifestyle. Most people aren't like us.
A person earning minimum wage to $10/hour, living with roommates and/or family received a gift of cash from the government. Then more cash. Then more cash. And they aren't paying rent or mortgage. We volunteer at a food pantry, and the number of families served is thru the roof. People have found ways to live without working, and after almost 2 years, they have just adapted. They don't care. Yet.
I'm afraid they never will. There will be a constant welfare class that is subsidized by us. The government will not let them suffer. They will simply have housing provided, food provided, basic income provided. Pretty sweet deal if you have no aspirations in life.
