Wait. You’re saying the chassis shortages, truck shortages and labor shortages are all Trump’s fault ? This all starts and ends with the SSLs and the Port Authority.

Our ports are really inefficient compared to modern ports of the world.
It is good they are moving to 24/7--too bad they can't do it 7 days a week.
This insanity of shutting down the economy over COVID is biting us in the backside right now.
Looming this winter is renewal of the Longshoreman contracts.

No I am not. I am saying the cargo amount is very high and imports, 2020 adjusted for COVID, have not declined significantly.
The chassis shortage are the best indicators of the cargo amounts in real time. We have been bringing our freight into the Gulf of Mexico and even sent some through New York.
The Port of New Orleans ought to have a very good year.

I miss the days of Mafia controlling the ports

truckers have been short staffed for decades, but a lot of guys who were going to retire stayed on. Then, when covid hit, they sucked up all those long hours and big pay, and retired, and now were really, really, really short.
was 5-10K short 15+ years ago.

I wonder if Christmas spending will be as high this year given the relatively bare shelves we will have?
I think it will be---they are going to spend what they have on something.

wait---could it be Trump was lying about his trade war accomplishments and what he really did was to make investing US capital in China easier for his friends at the big banks??? Nah---the cult says Trump never lies.
Just a heads up, since yours has been in search of your colon, there is no cult. sry
Hey, while I got you here...how did you survive the abortion?

How can there be that many containers ships waiting to get into Long Beach after Trump won that trade war and moved all those jobs back to the USA????
A backlog from Covid.
Now shut the frick up you disingenuous piece of shite.
You’re just upset that your trinkets from your CCP overlords haven’t arrived yet.

Cali does not run the US. They want other states to feel the pain:
Shut down their internet
Shut down cell service
Shut down the interstate
Shut down the airports
Shut down any water or power coming into the state
And tell them to call us in a few days, we can do without the chini toys for the holidays.....how thirsty are they going to get...

I think it will be high, but it may not be as high as last year simply due to amount of goods to sell. Orders are being cut.

continuously tell us it is all driven by the port authority
Work in drayage logistics and this is who I am pointing the finger at. Definitely don’t think it’s a driver issue because I’m constantly getting 3 day out and under capacity at every port and rail terminal across the US and Canada. Every port needs to be running 3 shifts 24/7 at this point, and there really isn’t a way around it. I have more issues with 3-6 hour wait times out of some ports than driver capacity. Mr Port Operations Manager needs to get his head out of his arse.
