They are already moving CA jobs to FL.

Keep up.

Also, from Newsweek 2 days ago.

Why do people freak out so damn much?

Weirdos.

It’s odd we never see you doing that with left-wing ideologues.

Perhaps that has something to do with how you’re viewed?

You see.... what we think is "left-wing", is ackchywully the middle.

Except you dont get to define the political spectrum

People on this board actually think to be an ideologue is to be principled. I'm not defining anything, I'm going by what the board has expressed time and time again.

We are not the ones calling ourselves moderates.

Now that's just odd. Most on here wouldn't ever consider themselves moderates - indeed most on here ridicule moderates as being unprincipled.

Take HailHailMichigan, for example. That's where being a moderate Republican on this board will get you.

I'm just enjoying the show.

Disney has no choice but to stay in Florida. You can't put a theme park on a truck and move it to another state.

If Disney leaves Earth, not just Florida, we are better off

Well I suppose you could. It would just be cost-prohibitive.

Time to see if The Mouse is ready to put it’s money where it’s mouth is.

I’d be fine with Disney being turned into a bunch of traveling carnies.

You hit us with this...

I'm not defining anything

Then bring it home with this...

what you have been whining about for 9 pages.

You're not too good at this whole, "discussion" thing. Can you point out any time where I've complained about what's happening to Disney?

No, you can't. But that's what you want to make it about because you can't really address the fact that people here want to consider themselves conservative, yet would wield big government in an effort to curb corporate political speech - WHICH THEY HAVE FOUGHT SO LONG AND HARD FOR.

I'm glad to see what's happening to Disney.

I'm glad Florida teachers won't be able to share their perversions with K-3rd graders.

I'm just delightfully entertained as I watch so many here try to spin what DeSantis has done as anything other than Big Government throwing its weight around in the marketplace trying to squelch corporate political speech. There's nothing 'conservative' about what DeSantis has done - but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

People have just been desperately trying to tag me with all kinds of nonsense like I'm somehow whining about what's happened to Disney - even though the liberal side of me is delighted by it.

But there's the rub, few here are secure enough in their politics to acknowledge when they have liberal leanings. They have to try to twist it into something else. "Big government squelching corporate political speech is conservative because, well, I disagree with their speech!"

It's a fricking joke.

Yep. Meanwhile he is calling “the board” hypocrites. It is fascinating to me the obsession some have with proving something bad about “the board”.

I would argue Islam in a landslide, but even if that were the case, comparing Disney - a corporation who is openly flouting the government and vowing to circumvent a widely supported law through their content - to any church (all of whom are problematic frankly) is a lazy and self-indulgent argument.

Good. Wasn’t really trying to discuss. I was just poking huge holes in your poorly crafted “arguments”.

So my post from pages ago where I said this was spot on:
quote:

So your entire purpose in this thread isn’t to voice support or opposition to removing the extra government protection Disney has enjoyed….it is simply to feebly attempt to call out “the board” as fascist? That is the most stereotypical leftist thing...

It’s almost the exact definition of an ideologue.

No. Saying he would blow Rubio if he beat Trump and then confessing that he had to take depression meds to deal with Trump’s tweets is why everyone mocks him. He’s a caricature of himself.

Right. No one mocks HHTM for his political leanings. He gets mocked for his weakness. He's expressed weakness so grotesque, he has become a pariah.

Leftys stay on the left coast, period...

Florida has so much other new business, they don't need Disney!
