228 total police officers in the US committed suicide in 2019 out of ~800,000.
Less than 1,000 officers responded to the Capitol protest (maybe as few as 500). 2 of those committed suicide in a matter of two weeks.

Many are failing to understand how policing works. Following a big clusterFrick event, there is an after action report and internal investigation. CPD will be bending over backwards to throw officers under the bus so the incompetent leadership can save face with local politicians. I’d be willing to bet that Officer was under investigation for something that happened and he offed himself under the duress of potentially losing his career and being perp walked.
