Instead of parroting tired and lazy comments about being “triggered,” I’d just like somebody to explain why there’s such a ridiculous over representation.
Marketing research has found that people pay attention to commercials more if they see someone that looks like them. Putting multiple races in a commercial is a two birds, one stone approach to capture a larger audience with a single ad. Now explain to us why seeing interracial couples triggers you so much.

Well it triggers me because it’s obviously fake, but I’m the type that generally hates commercials because it all looks like bullshite anyway.

The BBC has been doing the stuff with their ads and their TV shows for decades now. It appears that we are getting the same sort of messaging with our programming as the government controlled BBC
This has two meanings

They view interracial relationships as abnormal
Well, they are abnormal. That should be pretty apparent to anyone who knows the definition of normal and abnormal.

What you aren’t getting is that it isn’t the interracial couples in and of themselves, it is the phony BS virtue signaling these companies are doing. It’s so transparent what message they are trying to push. That message is they are woke and liberal therefore they are USING the interracial front as a line of defense to keep from ever being accused as racist or discriminatory in their business practices, plus trying to keep up with the Joneses so to say. Pandering is not becoming in any realm of life!

Cheap sluts craving BBC also crave shitty food and sugary drinks, for $500, Alex?

Punched into Google, the first definition of abnormal says, "deviating from what is normal or usual, typically in a way that is undesirable or worrying."
So what do you find undesirable or worrying about interracial relationships? Seeing as they make up 1 out of every 6 marriages in the U.S., they seem pretty normal to me.

Because the unusual is usually more interesting than the same-old-same-old.
Yea, that's it. There aren't mobs of idiots clammering about representation every hour of every day. It's just good marketing choosing the unusual to draw eyes. And it's totally a coincidence they're all choosing the same sort of unusual...

Now punch "typically" into Google.

Sure thing, it says "in most cases; usually." We end up with a definition of abnormal that reads "deviating from what is normal or usual, usually in a way that is undesirable or worrying."
So again, what is undesirable and/or worrying about interracial relationships that leads you to characterize and label them as abnormal?

The addition of 'typically' or 'usually' allow for instances where that's not the case.
Why are you assuming people here think that it's 'undesirable and/or worrying' instead of just being rare in comparison?

Well it’s also abnormal to be a genius or to be an olympic level athlete. That isn’t undesirable. So that qualifiar about being undesirable or worrying isn’t necessary or even very useful. I personally am capable of using the word in the correct manner without automatically assuming something undesriable. The fact that you can’t says more about you than it does me.

Have you read this thread or the weekly threads on this same subject? People here choose to call interracial relationships "abnormal" because that's the stigma they wish to attach to them, which is consistent with the usual dictionary definition of the word. Semantic word games don't nullify the message they wish to impart. If they meant rare or uncommon, those would be the words chosen.

It doesn't say shite about me, I didn't choose the term.

You were the one that first used the word abnormal in a negative context.

I was not, I simply provided the definition after the term was used.

Yes, I haven't seen anyone say that interracial marriage is undesirable and/or worrying. I have seen a lot of progs spazing out because they perceive criticism as racism, though.
If 90% of the population does one thing, and 10% does the other, it's not a stretch to call it abnormal.
Genius IQ scores are also abnormal.
You people get hung up on the simplest shite. Your head must pop up off your pillow every day wondering what's going to offend you next.
Sad.

Painting with a pretty broad brush there.
There are plenty of black people in the world who use much harsher terms than "abnormal" in regards to interracial couples.

Lol, the weekly melt threads about interracial relationships doesn't indicate undesirability or worry at all. I'm not a progressive by any stretch. 90% of the population doesn't do one thing, interracial marriages are 1 out of 6 and growing. What do you mean by you people? Who said I was offended, these threads are academic to me. It's not like I actually give a flying frick what you people think.
