Really? Show me where the Dems courted Gaetz into bringing his motion to remove McCarthy.

I'll wait.

They didn't court him, he teed the ball up for them and they laughed (and are still laughing) and hit it out of the park.

Told you guys this was going to happen. Jordan absolutely damaged himself in this process with his fellow Congressman. He looks worse than McCarthy now.

Threating to primary purple reps when Jordan didn't have the votes is absolutely insane, and a fine example about how awful at politics the GOP is.

If we have established that one doesn’t need to be a House member to be considered for Speaker, a number of avenues have opened up. And BOTH sides have done this shite such as Dems offering up Liz Cheney.

Exactly. They took what they saw as an advantage, but this whole thing about "Gaetz worked with them" is a farce pushed by the small-minded.

Did they get a win or did Gaetz? That's going to depend on whom the House votes in as McCarthy's replacement. Right now all I see are some butthurt Reps who are not just childishly voting for people not even running (and/or people who have voted for Jordan), but Reps who are more willing to put their political careers ahead of the good of the country.

Let me be clear on this, if they were voting for someone who was actually running then I would consider their vote an honest difference of opinon. When you vote for someone who is not even running, especially when they aren't even voting for themselves, that's just asinine.

Make up your mind dude. The dumb take is in reference to your post below. Dems didn't do either of the scenarios you posted. They did what they always do.

Jordan lost more votes this go around than yesterday. This should pretty much kill his ability to be the next speaker.

Trump’s previous endorsement McCarthy got voted out and his current endorsement Jordan can’t get voted in.
