I agree 100% but I really want to shove it in the face of the hundreds of people on this boatd that had "no doubt" that it was a liberal.

You quote feb 2016. That’s almost 2 years. Try again. What rhetoric set this guy off? Also...what rhetoric of trumps set him off in 2014 when he was arrested for making Bomb threats? You are an NOc

Yeah, he was a right-wing crazy then... now he's a radicalized right wing terrorist. That's the difference between 2014 and 2018.

But only one side has advocated for literal violence and called everyone in the entire other party evil.

So you think casting your opponents as evil and dangerous to your very life is ok, as long as you don't specifically call for physical violence?

You think a crazy person would not be motivated by the former, only the latter? That means the crazy person would have to be rational, which is literally what they are not.

No matter what side the guy was, the other side was going to use this to demonize the other. It's like people cannot even agree this guy needs to be put under the jail but instead want to argue if the bombs were even real, his political affiliation, his ethnicity, etc.

I would say make an example out of this POS but that too will somehow be a sticky point too.

Yep. Mentally ill.

Enjoy your win, just as I know you will enjoy it when more of your enemies are attacked or nearly killed like Scalise.

You guys got a reaction, now you are justified to continue the daily violent attacks on Rs and their supporters.

Go get 'em!

The only win that came out of this was watching this entire board go silent because they had no doubt that it was a liberal. This is a good learning moment. Stop assuming you understand things before they're sorted out and understand that mental illness is a serious problem. Also, Trump sets off lunatics and that's pretty obvious in either direction

Biden said he'd take Trump out behind the gym and beat the shite out of him.

Should we blame Biden if Trump is attacked?

Booker and Waters have told their followers to get in people's faces. Who gets the blame if that happens and the leftist is shot by their target? That's a tricky one. I assume you'll blame Trump and guns due to your ideology, but by your logic in here, Booker and Waters would also be responsible.

Here's my issue with your talking point. A crazy person by definition is going to act irrationally. You keep on saying that rhetoric that casts republicans as evil, death-bringing, racist, sexist, dangerous, etc is incivil, but not violent. But wouldn't it be reasonable to think a crazy person would still take it as a signal that these people need to be vanquished and harmed?

Incivility is different from a sustained pattern of encouragement and/or indifference to violence that Trump has shown.

Not entirely, but having a president that intentionally irritates as many people as possible is going to have some bad results. People are crazy sometimes and you have to take that into account when talking to an entire body of people

Yes. That was bad. Biden shouldn't have said that. He apologized. See it's not hard. When you don't belong to a cult you can actually say that.

Getting in their face is not explicitly illegal. You can confront people in numerous situations without violence.

You didn't answer my question.

If a crazy person is motivated by "encouragement" of violence, why woudn't they be motivated by harsh depictions of political parties? I have seen fb memes comparing gop to taliban/ISIS, memes showing dems laughing at truck attacks, etc. Crazy people will take anything as a cue to do something violent.

In none of these cases were the leaders of these organizations calling for violence.

yeah, I don't like ANTIFA at all. They are bad. Again, I can say this because i'm not in a MAGA cult like many are.
