Okay since your laughing at the question what is your answer? Not specific to any right, are taking rights away from people generally good or bad?

I did, it’s a pretty simple question.
Is society better when all people have more rights or less rights?

This is correct but, there are always levels to it. Taking away someone’s right to life would have to be the worse, correct?

Disagree.
Taking away the right to own other people made society better.
Taking away the right to use child labor made society better
Taking away the right to kill unborn children will make society better
Some rights being taken away are good. But there are rights that should not be taken away. Many are in the constitution

On the surface of that statement yes. How do you feel about the death penalty?

Mostly against it, but are you trying to equate an innocent baby to a convicted killer? Yikes.

It depends, solely, on the morality of said “rights”. Recent example: allowing people to OD on drugs. God gives us all free will, in this vapor of a life. It’s your God-given right. But, if WE allow it, then are we our brother’s keeper? WE create laws, that limit our rights to destroy another’s pursuit of happiness. When someone’s pursuit of happiness interferes with that of another’s- who’s pursuit does not interfere with that of another’s- then the law should be clear and accepted by all who pursue happiness. There is an irrefutable knowledge of good and evil, that we are in fact born with. Do what you do- but watch my shoes.

Their minds work in really depraved ways when they actually use it

You pose this question as if it were not loaded.
In taking away the right to an abortion, you are protecting/preserving the rights and life of someone else, a child.

No, I haven’t mentioned that at all

Todays decision gave rights back to people
People can use their votes instead of the SCOTUS pretending abortion is in the constitution

This is a false premise. In order to give a right you have to take a right, so it’s essentially a zero sum game.
I guess you could argue about natural rights and what all those wouid include, but you’ll never get consensus so it’s pointless.

Define “rights” and I’ll answer honestly.

It’s the other way around. You feel defensive because your overall belief that individuals have a right to the freedom of choice goes against your belief on the hot issue of the day.

I’m no longer a supporter of the death penalty. Read too many cases that have been overturned. If it was a clear and cut case of guilty I would support it but I just don’t have enough faith in people to do the right thing.

I’m just looking to have a good debate/conversation I’m not saying able is wrong so talk to me.
My premise is that our federal government having orders in place they give people more freedoms is a good thing even if some people use those freedoms for bad things.

Great. Give people the freedom to steal and murder.
Moar freedom is good after all.
