I guess all the posters here are from Texas. If not, I don't understand the immense interest
because Texas voting for a Democratic Senator in the mid-terms would be a bellwether for the 2028 elections. Democrats have been spending tons of money to turn Texas blue. Unfortunately this race is going to be closer than it should be, regardless of the Republican candidate.

Unless a a chunk of those votes were republicans crossing over to vote for Crockett. Lower republican turnout, increase democratic turnout.
Need to find an exit poll over this, as inaccurate as that may be.

pretty soon the narrative will start that cornyn is the only one who can beat the young preacher boy wizz kid. paxton has just too much baggage. trump will agree and endorse cornyn. republican voters who dislike cornyn will resolve to this and fall in line. the uniparty wins again.

I think another factor is how many close races are there on each side? And/or any close referendums?
In my state, many of the primaries are pretty much predetermined, no way my vote is going to change anything, not even worth 'making a statement'. I sometimes don't bother to vote in a primary unless there is a referendum I feel I need to vote on.
I have no idea if that was a factor in TX.

You think Black men are going to vote for Talarico. Talarico can be exposed and the republicans should hit him hard.

I'm just commenting in general about the R vs D turnout, and any extrapolation to the national mid-terms. Was it affected by lack of controversial referendums, or lack of tight races on the R side vs D side?

All I know is that there are over a million straight retarded Texans that voted for Crockett.
That State went to shite a while ago, but damn.

TX has about 10 years left before democrats control it. All thanks to Hot Wheels Abbott and H1B

Cruz beat O’Rouke by 2-3 points. This cycle could be more favorable to Democrats.

I see only two polls recently that polled head-to-head.
Univ. of Houston - Paxton 46, Talarico 44; Cornyn 44, Talarico 43
Emerson - Paxton 46, Talarico 46; Cornyn 47, Talarico 44
Right now looking like a statistical tie.

Texas Republicans crushed their opponents in 2020, 2022, and 2024. This cycle will be a good indication of whether Texas is on a similar path to Florida.

Have you visited the Golden Triangle lately?
Tarrant, Dallas, Collin, Harris all dominated by foreigners at this point.
Frisco TX is practically unrecognizable from 10 years ago.

It’s stuff like that which helps me realize I live more in a bubble than I realize.

When this guy authoritatively tells the Democrat white ladies that God is a hermaphrodite and binary Jesus loves abortions the Prog ladies will line up 100 deep to vote for him. He was built in a lab for white cat herding ladies who have no critical thinking skills and think policy is about regulating their feelings and mood swings.
