Yes, the guy threatening his life didn’t shoot him until he attempted to defend himself.

If I roll up on you in my truck, get out holding a gun and yelling at you..would you fear for your life?

Also something I just thought of, for people taking the mother at face value with regards to her surprise, she was also savvy enough to do some research and get this DA to recuse himself, ultimately leading to these arrests. Her deference to authority could also be part of that move, because I believe the articles quoting her took place after she met the attorney Merritt.

who shot it, though?

it was approximately when the deceased was on the passenger-front side of the truck

the son was still obstructed (and it doesn't appear the gun ever rose above his waist)

if it was the father, it's pretty clear he DID have a gun ready and aimed

Idk, but I do know for damn sure I wouldn’t run around the truck that was separating us and get into a fist fight with you

It could be a reasonable assumption that if he was being chased by a truck and men with guns their intent was to harm him and he had a choice of fight or flight and chose to disarm the man threating him with a gun because he would run a bigger risk of death by turning his back.

Oh. I don't deny that at all

I just laughed at the narrator in the link saying deceased is "avoiding" them.

I mean, quite obviously, no, no he wasn't.

Wait so the first shot is before the fight? This is confirmed?

You don’t know if you’d fear for your life if two angry armed men confront you on the street? I think you do but admitting it might not help your argument.

That's the first I've heard about that

I fear for my life every time I leave my house. It’s a dangerous world out there for people like me

Does the crime of aggravated assault exist in your mind? Are you aware of its definition? All suspects are “innocent until proven guilty”. Using that basic premise, Ahmaud must be assumed to have done nothing wrong, so a guy having done nothing wrong is suddenly confronted by two angry armed men, and you want to blame him for his reaction?

Slow that shows ahmaud charging at the guy.... to me that’s a damning clip

Odds are, he was robbing somewhere in the neighborhood, realized he was getting caught and got pissed when he saw these two white dudes catching him.

He thus proceeds to charge right at the guy with the shotgun to take his gun from him and would've shot him.

I don't see either of the sons being convicted.

LINK

go to about 14 secs

ignore the narrator (it is al Jazeera after all)

the first shot is just before they engage and the son's gun is at his hip

*ETA: also if you look i'm about 99.9% sure you can see the gunpowder coming from the dad after the shot. you can see the cloud

Sometimes on the Highway of life, a truck filled with dog zhit runs head first into a truck filled with cat zhit.....

Maybe all parties involved are pieces of zhit, who knows?

If these two gentleman are convicted of cold-blooded murder after a reading of all the evidence, fry em'.

Or like any reasonable person he feared for his life because two angry armed men were chasing him thru the streets..
