I was in Nigeria and left my wallet and phone on the table at a restaurant, I was telling my guide and he said, don’t worry it will still be there. I go back and the table was cleaned and my wallet and phone was sitting where I left it. 1st offense, they cut your hand off. 2nd offense, they cut off the other one.

Brutal soul terrifying punishment is the ONLY answer.

So you agree, that they should just be executed in the courtroom, right after the sentence?
I don’t think the government should be able to execute its citizens under any circumstances.

Provide any link you wish that claims this and I will take it apart in under 10 minutes.

“Under any circumstances”

You are the perfect example of why the world is so fricked up.

It is for most career criminals. Very comfortable, all their friends are there. Drugs, booze, etc.
I have spoken to many a “career criminal.” None of them want to go back to prison.

What does my post have to do with "open minded"?

I didn't say "I will dismiss it in under 10 minutes".

Nope. I just know it will be completely shreddable inside of 10 minutes because there are exactly ZERO studies worth a hill of shite that make your claim.

There's nothing about being open/closed minded in that exchange.

And I have a former friend who straight up told me his life was better in prison.

I mean anecdotal evidence and all....

It’s proven to be an ineffective crime deterrent. Why do you want to put more people in cages?

If cages don't work, execute more.

Or just close the prisons down.

Which is your solution?

I’ve looked inside state prisons, including Angola. For the record, none of them are anywhere near
pleasant. They’re horrible, dehumanizing places. Often brutal and violent. Many inmates say they would have preferred death.

Obvious troll. Nobody can be this fricking stupid.
If they are, they need to be locked up for their own protection.

Well, cubbies is clearly a low information voter but, even a blind squirrel finds a nut and on this one, I agree.

Don't get me wrong. I have no moral opposition to killing a bad guy back. And, if our government could be anything close to perfect in the application, I'd pull all the switches.

But, it isn't close to perfect in the application. Which, honestly, any conservative should know why it isn't. Because it's government. Governments do nearly everything in a mediocre manner.

Good.

Now unless they are complete Sociopaths, they will rub their remaining two brain cells together and say to themselves "Hey dumbass, don't do anything that will send you back to prison!"

This subject aside, you're being WAAAAY to generous.

If our Govt. rose to the level of "mediocre", the world wouldn't be on fire right now.
