Neither of those went outside the judicial system to challenge the election. Neither called forth violent riots to challenge the results.
I don’t think what Trump did rose to the level of insurrection, and I don’t think he should be facing serious, disqualifying charges, but you can’t compare Hillary’s, or Gore’s, reaction to Trump’s.

If Trump doesn't post bond, he makes them take him to jail. Makes them clear out the entire cell block. Makes them turn over the prison operations to the Secret Service.
I'd guess Atlanta would be like, "ok we chased him, now what do we do since we caught him?"
The down side is this walls him off from any contact with the public. Maybe his gag orders are effectively doing this right now anyway. Protestors will converge on the jail and that gives Trump the opportunity to tell everyone that if you protest, do it peacefully and respect law enforcement officers.
