There wasn’t a public school system…so no, when the public school system was first started it was not in the classroom, so no.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the U.S. public education system got its start so that the older generation could teach children how to read and properly interpret the Bible.

I prefer my kids to get and education and upbringing on the streets listening to Rap Music...
Who need Commandment number six: "Thou Shall Not Kill", when the song clearly says: "Shoot a N***a in the head."
Now I am thankful that we in this great country have the freedom to choose for ourselves what and how our children learn and grow... But just because you yourself lack common sense, doesn't mean that common sense should be denied from them just because you don't like something.

The problem today is not the Christian religion. The problem is the religion of gender ideology. It’s as a fanatical religion as anything I’ve ever seen. They sacrifice children to castration.

Who advertises on Fox News? Who funds the organizations that advertises on this media outlet? Do the math.
Having to answer to advertisers is not the same as being state media....

Which of the Ten Commandments are you most opposed to?
Should public schools teach children to steal and lie to their parents?

State governments actually had state-sponsored regions baked into their constitutions, too.
Thank you for giving him the correct answer.
Remember, everyone, the original idea for this country was a confederation of states, and state governments were supposed to hold most of the power.
And yes, almost every state constitution in the states that ratified the federal constitution had very strong and specific language in them affirming not just some concept of God, but specifically naming Jesus Christ as it's authority and the One from whom they derived their governing authority.
So no.
The modern idea of "separation of church and state" was NOT what the founding fathers intended.

The Founding Fathers wanted to protect the Church from interference from the State. This was due the Kings constant meddling in the Church and England creating a state church.
They would have considered our modern day interpretation dumb

If those advertisers basically run the government then fox is by defacto state media.

freedom from religion
How ironic that your kind have turned that into a religion of its own.

No other gods before me, no graven images, remember the Sabbath. These are really meaningless outside of Christian religious context.

It's not the same. Fox is and can be critical of a sitting president. Same on msnbc, CNN, etc. now whether they choose to be is a different question. Overall media is failing us by giving us what we want instead of providing the service we need. It's a lot easier to get ratings though telling people what they want to hear

It is freedom OF Religion. NOT freedom from Religion. Also the intent of that was to keep the government out of religion not to keep religion out of religion.
