We are holding on waiting for the ubiquitous statement "if I had it to do all over again, I'd have gotten injected with the gene mutation "

Good news is you have a 99.9% chance of emerging on the other side with vigorous antibodies that should serve you better than any vaccine would.

No? You good, dog.
Yes?
For reasons I don't understand, diabetes in of itself is a huge contributing factor towards covid patients being hospitalized. Even more so than just being overweight or a smoker.
I know this is entirely anecdotal, but it looks like this thing hits and skips people like a tornado would. It destroys some houses, but leaves others that you'd think would be very vulnerable with barely any damage.
I have one relative who smoked a pack a day for 40 years get Covid. He is over 70 and on oxygen most of the time before the pandemic. He is overweight and unhealthy by any metric. He hasn't been doing very well for years. He caught Covid before the vaccines were available and survived. He saw doctors, but didn't spend a single night in the hospital.
A fishing buddy of his caught it around the same time and didn't make it. He was in much better shape, didn't have COPD, and was still very active. But he had diabetes and was still a heavy smoker when it got sick. He was in the hospital for about a week. When it looked like he was improving, they took him off the ventilator completely (maybe a mistake) and he passed away shortly after.

sinusitis,
Hell, I've got that at least 200 days a year. I'm keeping Kimberly Clark in business.

I wish I could get to the bottom of this phrase. People use it a lot. A literal explanation of it would be saying you are a Christian to make yourself look better, or for appearances sake.
How did saying the curse word get to be tagged with this? Anyone?

I read about this.
Vaccines may help prevent a hospital stay, but it sounds like we still absolutely suck at actually treating this once people catch it.
I read about the therapy you mentioned and it looks like it might show some real promise. And since it wasn't mentioned by Trump, there's an outside chance that our media will let the scientific process run its course instead of trying to influence it.

Congrats on your impending immunity!

It seems to affect people differently. It put me down for a solid two weeks. And my 73 year old mother took 3 weeks to recover. But for both of us, it was nowhere near as bad as a REAL case of the flu.
Body aches out the wazzo and massive fatigue. Plus the loss of taste and smell. And my toes turned blue. The worst part was the fatigue, as I could hardly move from one room to the other without having to rest. But I never had a fever that broke 100. It was what the doctors call a "moderate" case, as I didn't require oxygen therapy. This was last June and I still have antibodies as of two weeks ago when I took another serologic test.

Will let you know if I end up at the hospital but I doubt it will get
Take Pepcid A/C, double the standard dose.
Try to stay out of the hospital.
Don't let them put you on a vent unless your knocking on heavens door.

If anything smokers are under represented. Not sure where you're getting your data.
Being a fatass(type II diabetes) is probably the worst thing you can have aside from AIDS when covid comes. If you are fat an not on the vaccine, tell your family not to pine sympathy from me when you die.

I'd add melatonin as well. Can't tell you why except that I read it and by no means will it hurt.

Why Pepcid? Haven’t heard that one yet.

Same here. I know a few people who you would think would kick it fast and were hospitalized with zero health issues. I know a few others who I thought would be pushing up daisies and they were fine in a couple days. It makes no logical sense to me, but I just get my medical info from an LSU message board.

Get you some Ivermectin or Trump drugs you’ll be alright.

My doc recommended Pepcid as well.
My wife had the vaccine and caught it.
