Hafez al-Assad spent much of his life trying to unite the Arab nations and they couldn't even do that.

Watch the news? Are you serious? Is that your source for information these days?

Did Israel break the cease fire against Iran? No. Did they bomb Hezbollah in Lebanon? Yes. Is Hezbollah part of the Iranian cease fire? No...by Trumps word.

Get rid of Iran's proxies in Lebanon and guess what...no bombs there either.

Who has been bombing the islands of Iran?
Other GC nations that's who. I believe the UAE and Saudi Arabia got some action in today.

Sirri Island and Lavan Island.

Turkey is already an ally.

Are you serious? They've fricked around with trying to get F-35s and S-300s at the same time, while turning Hagia Sophia into a mosque, etc. Erdogan used Apaches on civilians. TK denied us in the first Gulf war.

Pakistan is a disaster second only to Iran for terrorist funding and enablement. KSA is not anywhere close since MBS.

And it got them kicked out of the program.

Iran and Pakistan are by far the brightest of the group. Iran will re-emerge and provided sanctions are truly lifted, Iran will thrive.

The people have screwed themselves living under that dictatorship

Correct. And instead of fixing their own house, they’ll abandon us and cow tow to terrorists.

See that’s the thing about ceasefires.

It takes two to tango and even if one side thinks it’s ok if the other side doesn’t then ceasefire is off. War on.

If we have to keep being the big brother to Israel when they keep intentionally poking the bear then we are going to keep fighting in the Middle East.

Great. If they do everything we want the that means Americans don’t need to intervene.

I guess that's fair considering France pondered rebuilding the Notre Dame with multicultural (Islamic) elements.

Do you care about what other countries do with old buildings?

I don’t.

Decade? Try centuries if not longer. Turks, Arabs, and the paks are never ever going to form some grand coalition.

Just referring to the sides they each took during the Syrian Civil War and the Iraqi Civil War to make the point about their inability to unite during that time period to thwart Iranian ambitions. The Pakistani's could easily form a coalition with either Arabs or Turks. South Asia had direct Turco-Persian influence and it is likely that the Pakistani's are being courted by virtue of their nuclear weapons. The Turks and the Gulf Arabs have more historical problems than Arabs from other nations.

Nope. Not my problem, especially as I'm not Christian. Their money, their problems.

But it seems odd to take something built 1000 years ago for a specific purpose/principle, and try to change its focus due to non citizens (admittedly, the French are mostly non religious now) in the last two decades.

The Lincoln Memorial should maybe be turned into a BLM attraction?

Because the US wouldn't sell them missiles nor help them develop their own missile system technology. It was a saga that started around 2000 over multiple Turkish and US governments. They also bought an S-400 system and Russia has subsequently bought it back I believe. In the end, US hesitancy in sharing missile technology led to good things for Turkey in terms of developing their own defense industry, as they decided to invest in themselves and now have 5 or so companies that are in the 'Top 100' defense companies in the world, have produced one of the more capable drone platforms, a new helicopter and a native fighter jet, among a few other trainer jets.

Pakistan has willingly done the dirty work for the US for a long time in Central Asia.

With friends like these, who needs enemies?

Go read Ghost Wars or Directorate S to see how much the Pakis fricked us for 20 years.

Erdogan … you really want to rely on that guy?

The Saudis produced 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 and potentially knew about the attack.

Combined UAE and Saudi Arabia air forces have a little over 500 combat aircraft. Mainly F-15's, F-16's, and some Mirages.

Britain only has 150 or so.

French have around 200.

yes, the UAE and Saudi Arabia would probably give a good fight to the French and British although the British have some F-35's, which none of the others have.
