You seem like a decent kid so here's some fatherly advice - computers and the internet will not take care of all your problems.

I'm happy with the continued (and in some cases, greater) gains, but what the frick have you been investing in over the past 8 years or so?
This. My rather modest portfolio has done quite well since late 2009.

Your retirement account is growing on the shoulders of us toiling millenials You boomer management types can barely send an email but get to keep the gains created by our deft handling of technology Millenials are the most productive generation in history but we'll never be able to retire because previous generations stacked the deck against us

lol you are the kind of millenial that has made it easy for millenials like me to get fast tracked to management. We look amazing in comparison to entitled lippy shitasses like you that by just doing our jobs well and being professional we stand out.

I love my generation personally. It's like racing to the top vs a bunch of retards

Too bad the government will find some way to get their greasy hands on all the money these privileged people are stashing away before we ever get to use it.

Just received my quarterly statement for my retirement account. Continued strong gains across the board. Compared to losses or very anemic gains in previous years. The Trump effect without question!

you suck at investing. If you can't make money in the last 5 years in teh stock market, you suck at investing.

Actually I didn't plan poorly. My literature degree has helped a ton in my field with letter writing and although you may have an office and I have a cubicle, at least I'm not an unwashed philistine

Take a look at the S&P 500 since 2008, he has just continued gains if anything....

For the 4 years from 10/5/12 to 10/5/16, the DOW grew 34% and the S&P grew 47%. I mean I guess the investments could have been put in something like JC Penny stock, but then that type of terrible investing would still be present today, unless someone finally wised up. So it just seems like it's a dishonest representation to make something that's already good, seem better.

But I just don't understand why people who have objective data to support their view, feel compelled to lie and add fake data to make it seem even better.

And I always thought he was the least clever troll (I would worse though), but maybe he's not since people fall for it time and time again.
