If any media reports that news, it’ll only bebecause they’re out to get Trump. That’s the sentiment around here. Even when it’s the live broadcast of a Trump press conference. The guy shouldn’t have to suffer any bad news, it seems.

The media isn't reporting just the data, they're reporting things like:
"WE'VE PASSED CHINA!" (implying the US is worse)
or
"MILLIONS WILL DIE FROM THIS PANDEMIC!" (only if we do absolutely nothing at ll)
If the media directly reported facts no one would say a word, but we know thats not even close to what they do.

It better get busy if it intends to kill more than the flu did 2 years ago. 80,000 Americans died and 50 to 60 million had it in 2018. And that's with 57.5% of the people vaccinated. So we've got some big time experience with this pandemic business. Difference being nobody panicked.
And actually the important stat is the growth rate which is now starting to go down which is encouraging. The president needs to block travel from NY, South Louisiana, NJ, Mich, And Ill.

It'll be interesting to see how the numbers shake out once the antibody tests get going. Right now the death rate is 1.8%, which is really high for a flu.
