One thing that gives me hope is the example that Giuliani set in NYC when he was mayor. NYC went from a city in crime ridden tatters to a major tourist attraction with low crime and booming business.

The problem with that line of thinking is that the people that elected Giuliani have all moved away or have died, that was 30 years ago. People with any sense keep leaving the cities and while I don’t blame them no one is sticking around to make a line in the sand and elect a Giuliani type in a place like Chicago. Short of martial law the cities are unsaveable. The Democrats had a plan to fill the cities with idiots on the dole who keep them in power and made is so unpleasant for anyone else that they all left. They excecuted that plan to a T while everyone ran off to Florida

Following politics and supporting politicians gives you the illusion of power to change the current course of decline. No one has that power because the problems facing our society are systemic and not caused by any particular course of public policy that could be reversed through legislation — even if voting actually resulted in concrete legislative outcomes which it does not. Following politics and yes even voting is a total waste of time. Universal suffrage democracy is fake, and gay.

Its a big dog and pony show. But judging by this board people eat it up.

There is, but literally no politician is talking about it. Not even trump.

The only way to not be susceptible to decline is decentralization of the currency and banking system. In other words, complete and utter destruction of the Fed. Otherwise, we’ll always find ourselves right back in this position in the future.

Our nation needs to have a real problem solver and a bunch of hard core support in Congress to turn it around like Giuliani did NYC. I agree, the urban centers may be beyond hope, but then the empty suit Dinkins with his 3rd world crime rate was enough to put Rudy over the top and his reforms lasted for years even under that RINO Bloomberg.

Trump/DeSantis 2024.

It's called dictatorship. Just have to hope he is benevolent.

A dictator?

Absolutely not.

For a populace to even consider such an option, there would need to be unusually extreme conditions.

Something on the order of what went on in Germany during its Weimar Republic.

The country was experiencing rampant inflation and violent political factionalism; just about every form of civil strife which didn't give peace a chance among its populace.

Neo-Gramscian behaviorists and other academics at the Institute of Social Research were closely monitoring and documenting the social conditions, while attempting to foment more strife among the unwary when at all possible.

All of it contributing to runaway crime, while the country was being led by a weak, manipulable mental defective.

Inflation here isn't anywhere near that bad yet.
