I hope you periodically remind your supervisor that this was a very poor decision.

I’ll mess with him over simple things…he’s quite arrogant too, so I don’t let up.

But, I understand many people did in order to keep job. I understand, and feel terrible for them

I had my job threatened in late 2021 end of November. Get the shot or get fired. I waited until the very last day before the deadline. Yes, I previously had Covid and recovered fine.

Yes… it was my “choice” to keep my job for my family. I took the shot under duress, and I’ll never forgive those mother frickers.

I was flat out told I would lose my job within a two week period if I did not get the shot AND schedule the booster.

That isn't a mandate?

From where? Hawaii was allowing people in but making them quarantine, also ridiculous.

I’m sorry you had to make that decision.

We were a few weeks from having to do the same before the Supreme Court stepped in. I’ll never forget what they were willing to do to us.
I’ll never forget how the government and everyone acted.
It’s easily the defining event of my lifetime so far.

I still don’t know if I would have caved or just become poor. I told my Boomer parents I wasn’t going to take it and they acted like I was crazy.

My mother in law was posting Facebook comments on other people’s “I got vaccinated!” posts saying how great it was that they did that for their family, knowing we would see it.

It was a very ugly time.

Correct.

The ones that scream this shite on the left have no clue wtf is “fascism”.
They’ve seen the enemy…they just dont understand it’s them.

Your friend’s logic is literally the basest form of attempted pseudo intellectualism.

I doubt they even put a second of actual thought after forming that argument.

By their logic, all of the below are true:

- Laws don’t exist because no one can force you to follow a law

- people don’t actually need to eat or sleep because nothing is forcing you to eat or sleep. Since I am not actively eating or sleeping at this very moment, I must therefore not need to eat and or sleep in the future.

And if you worked in healthcare, you were fired if you didn’t get the shot

And if you worked in a nursing home, you were fired if you didn’t get the shot

If you were a school teacher, you were told you would be fired if you didn’t get the

On and on and on

At the time of Corrvid, I had been at my job just over 20 years. The HR department had their lawyers start sending out feelers for anonymous site surveys on how many people were open to taking the vaccine and how many opposed it. From what I'm told, 90+% of floor personnel globally said "hell no". About 60% of lower and mid-management said"hell no". Then, your HR people and senior corporate management almost unanimously said they believe the clot shots should be mandated. Thankfully we outnumber them 20,000:1 because they quickly dropped all "mandate" talks. At the time, our senior leadership was a 7 person team of elite Chicago liberals. None of them are with the company today.

This is a very specific occupation and my skillset certainly would translate to other industries, but this is all I've done my entire adult life. I was prepared to make them fire me and then take them to court. I wasn't getting jabbed period, even if it cost me an employment tenure of 20+ years and my income. It wasn't even debatable for me.

I feel bad for everyone who felt coerced into taking the jab, and took it only to regret it. I've talked to a few people I know in that situation, and I truly do have empathy. I'm just a different kind of person I guess. If some political nonsense ends up costing me my employment, I'll find other employment. If it results in me being blacklisted and no other employers will hire me, I'll take handyman jobs and welding jobs and I'll scrap steel and cut firewood to make the bills- and not pay taxes.

That was even more head scratching. These doctors and nurses went to work for a year without a jab putting their health and the health of their families on the line. Then this bullshite jab gets rolled out and the administrators finally want to what they do and exert their "authority" and demand get the jab or go home.

Correct.

I thought - I’ve been poor before and I can do it again.
Work never scared me and I can do other things.

Part of me sorta wanted the challenge.

I had to travel for work but was told I couldn't travel unless I had jabs. No jab, no travel, no work.

People got fired from jobs and careers. Seems a bit extreme for an “elective” vaccine.

Also, conservatives have some idiots also. There is a village looking for your friend.

The Covid shot mandates were for government employees and government contractors. All other mandates came from private employers.
