I saw what you posted but I just don’t believe you
Morning coffee? lol. Nah.
What intelligent business person would accept a currency that could lose substantial value in a matter of seconds ?
And what intelligent person would use a currency that could jump considerably after the purchase!? lol.
Moronic
Face it. All you have is “muh boomer” “ muh dollar is worthless”
But hey, it’s your zeal that allows me to capitalize on the ferver. Keep up the excitement but be real. Be open minded and try to listen to those who’ve been around and seen some things.
Stop being myopic.

The kid doesn't know anything about bitcoin OR boats.
The kid? I'm in my 50's and know better than to spend my money on a boat. That's like having a 2nd wife and you hate both of them.
I'm still looking for a utilitarian usage, relative stability, national acceptance as currency, etc, or any other reason to "invest" into something simply because it represents a limited qty of mathematical equations.
Just admit that you can't actually do anything with Bitcoin, except hope someone thinks it's worth more than you do.
Next time you flex, make it about something that increases in value like a nice home.
Actually, Bitcoin sounds a lot like "Boatcoin". Something to spend your hard-earned money on, just to realize that you desperately hope someone wants more than you do someday when you're tired of worrying about it.
Boatcoin. I like it.

Yep. It's pure speculation and to be 1 hundo honest, I do not understand it. Therefore, I don't invest in it.
But it is a 100% legal instrument. If people want to invest in it, go for it. You should be able to do it and profit from it.

General Merchant Acceptance: Roughly 39% of U.S. merchants now accept some form of cryptocurrency, with many adopting Lightning for faster, lower-fee transactions

I guess you did a quick google search and realized that you can in fact buy stuff with bitcoin. Baby steps, I guess.

You quoted me. Provide the location of where I allegedly said you can't buy a boat with Bitcoin.
I'll wait.

We are on the oil standard. Gold is too "scarce" to be useful.

Bitcoin is an inferior alternative to gold.

Some chuck schwab guy, who manages 14 figures in client assets. They're getting into the btc (and eth) game right now, as we speak. LINK to a brief yahoo finance article on it. Also, i think it's everyone's dream that their "currency" jumps in price after they buy it. Thinking people wouldn't want this would be

These imbeciles can't even balance their own checkbook and are second guessing every major financial institution on the planet. And the guy who thought you couldn't buy a boat with bitcoin is the biggest imbecile of them all

No.
Wrong
People want a stable currency. Not volatile
Imagine buying a car with a currency and after you purchase it, that currency jumped 5% in value or 10%!
You just lost 5-10% of your money in a millisecond (in addition to depreciation). Dumb.
Imagine running a business and taking a currency that could drop 5-10% without warning. Too risky. Dumb.
Business want stable currency.

You’re wrong
Walmart allows you to convert your crypto to cash before the purchase! Same for Starbucks. They’re not converting it. YOU are! lol.
It’s Like selling a bar of gold or other item in the parking lot and using the cash to buy something, in your case coffee. Same thing but in digital form.
So whilst you think you’re buying coffee with bitcoin, you aren’t. You’re just buying your coffee with cash just like everyone else.
But we all know that you aren’t even trying to buy coffee with bitcoin. Why? Because using cash or credit card is easy and stable. You can’t lose money on the volatility.
Sadly, You’re lying on a message board about it. Then you post memes and call people names. It’s part of the game. Use social media and message boards to try to pump crypto up. Make people feel the fomo!
It can be effective if done correctly. Not sure you are.

So goldvl and oil are also dumb options for currency? Damn, the petro dollar and the gold standard aren't going to like that.

Nope, I'm right.

Exactly. You walk in with bitcoin, nothing else. They take your bitcoin and do whatever they want to with it. You walk in with bitcoin and walk out with stuff. Just like I said. They take bitcoin. And they do. As does starbucks.
Bitcoin is accepted in a myriad of ways. The 100,000 or so Square POS terminals across the USA allow the retailer to handle his crypto however he wants. Keep in btc, convert to USD, convert to a different crypto, whatever.
Some places, like Steak and Shake, put all their accepted bitcoin into cold storage, building a reserve. They don't change it to anything. They take the bitcoin and leave it in bitcoin.
So again, you're a dumbass old man shaking his fist at the sky.
Adoption is already here, and growing daily. You can throw all the tendies you want, boomer. You can wail and whine and pound your tiny fists on the highchair, but it won't change anything.
