The courses are all available now for free for anyone who wants the skills

I keep going back to...they don't have to go thru that school. So not sure why arguing.
If anything then added in classes on how to be a good fellow worker/teammate, how to make a good video meeting call, how to properly email, etc. Whatever it takes to rock out the best Americans, as quick as possible.

Theyd all be killing themselves if they had nothing but engineering. 5 Class Semester... Signals and Noise Differential Equations Linear Algebra Physics 3 Advanced C++
I took 5 engineering courses in multiple semesters as an undergrad and magically I am still alive and avoided offing myself.
Plenty of other countries have degree focused programs without the US general electives requirements. Both have merit, but neither is superior to the other in a clear way.
But sure, you can’t handle multiple courses in a semester that are hard, so it should not be expected.

Narax is a weak student so everyone else has to be. Can’t be him not being up to snuff to handle it.
All policy should be based on our weakest like Narax.

That would work like electives.
The major issue is that hard classes are hard, and grasping large numbers of new STEM topics at the same time is brutally hard for the extremely vast majority of humans.
Electives fill the gap and stimulate the mind.

And you've taken Advanced Electromagnetism I'm guessing?
If our weakest have taken that class we have zero worries...

Again… I am asking.. who is the CURRENT head of AI for the United States?
Trick question - it’s actually a bot.
Also does everyone on this forum have Assberger’s?

Yea what courses from what university in the same semester.

Thermodynamics
Strengths of materials
Fluid Dynamics
Bioprocess Engineering
Comprehensive Elecreical Engineering
That was one semester and I did fine, and to be honest actually quite well.
Now, I am aware that not all students can do that, but we should be putting college options that allow our advanced students more rapid training. Instead, we force many of them to take unnecessary classes just to fill credit hours.
I had a curriculum we revamped. Engineering curriculum that required 95 hours in the major, another 22 hours of general electives and then 17 hours of random open electives just to fill the schedule.
We cut out 5 open electives and idiots started getting on us saying we ruined their education because they need more diversity. So we should cut core courses for them to take a basketweaving course.
Electives are definitely good for some but not necessary for everyone.
It’s okay to have options.

It's an impressive semester.
I don't think most student's want to do that once much less multiple semesters.
I'm surprised that your college offered Thermo and Fluid in the same semester, MechEs I knew often took them Fall/Spring.

Trump needs to reevaluate some of these decisions like he did the Sheriff from Florida
At this stage, I have to assume the John Barron account is a bot. Humans are not this stupid.

Agreed that it isn’t for everyone but I no all honesty is the best way for many people to get depth in their education.
I worked in academia and truly appreciate the value of some course outside of the discipline, but I think with how much we are now charging people for these educations and forcing them to take courses that are not valuable to them for the discipline, it is disconcerting.
For example, I’d rather students take less of those and more hands on/project based courses to go with the theory classes. That actually makes them more prepared for industry and the real jobs.
But I think we are both on the side of better education and opportunity for them, so cheers to you my good sir/ma’am.

That makes a lot of sense actually. I do think they still need their English/technical writing classes, those come in handy.
Cheers to you as well!
