Today America will send a message loud and clear to the NFL:

We are not putting up with your illegal immigrant halftime show. True Americans will be watching Kid Rock perform instead.

Puerto Rico voted a few short years ago to not become a state. Therefore, Puerto Ricans are not American. Am I right here or just being ignorant?

Ignorant… The Jones-Shafroth Act in 1917 already answered your question… the answer to your question was affirmed 1940 and 1952…

Puerto Ricans have Statutory Citizenship granted by Congress. They don't have Constitutional Citizenship.

It's pretty much the same thing.. Although their citizenship doesn't come from birthright.

Correct. I was just about to post about this issue. Puerto Ricans are indeed American citizens…

This is very true. But the books say otherwise.
To further cloud things up. If they live here they can vote for President but not if they reside in the territory of Puerto Rico. I think.

Some people for some reason think Puerto Rico voted against statehood… statehood has never been offered… what people are referring to is a poll taking by a non government affiliated group…

My problem with "Bad Bunny" isnt that he's Puerto Rican. My problem with him is that he's a typical America-hating, virtue-signaling idiot just like 85% of his compadres in both the music business and Hollywood.

Except for his sexual deviancy, I don't view the stupid bitch BB any differently than I view the stupid bitch Bruce Springsteen.

But ask Americans they will tell you they are not Puerto Ricans

and you if ask Puerto Ricans who they are , they will say Puerto Rican...

They tolerate our visition as "Americans"

See the difference in "American"

you don't see why?

Because that's why!

Bad Bunny is an American citizen. No matter how much you hate him, he is not an illegal immigrant. This isn’t up for debate.

True Americans will watch both the actual halftime show with American Bad Bunny performing as well as the alternate programming with American Kid Rock performing. Many more Americans will be watching the former.

A distinction without a difference.

Native Americans also have statutory citizenship, along with naturalized people and their progeny.

That bothers you???… most people get why Puerto Ricans refer to themselves as Puerto Rican… the American part inferred… being that all people born in Puerto Rico are American… most of us knew this since grade school

Puerto Rico has a higher military enlistment rate than most states. They are also divided politically just as much as mainland America. It’s not like Bad Bunny speaks for all or even most Puerto Ricans

Correct… Supreme Court has affirmed this time and time again… where/when the Constitution has been applied its rights are irrevocable

But that is what’s being debated though… Fox News even referred to him as a ”legal immigrant “.,. we in a time where the citizenship of Puerto Ricans is being questioned

Ask a Puerto Rican on the island if they are Puerto Rican or American.

That’s reality. While they were granted citizenship, they generally do not consider themselves Americans.

this.
Same with white liberals. They don't consider themselves American anymore.

It made me realize how few and how loud some of the Puerto Rican-Americans can be. I remain disinterested.

The fact and legal standing of his American citizenship isn’t up for debate.

Some folks are debating it culturally because culture wars sell. Calling him a legal immigrant is disingenuous. He’s a U.S. citizen.
