You should know what the frick you're talking about before calling anyone else a stupid shite. Businesses keep exemption certificates on file... including churches, stupid shite.

None of y'all appear to be beholden to civility either.

I know exactly what the frick I’m talking about, dipshit. Churches are not exempt from sales tax. You may find a handful of exemptions on some items in some states. But, generally, churches are not exempt from sales taxes. Churches pay sales taxes just like everyone else.

I have been a churchgoer all my life and never once have heard a political sermon or even a suggestion about politics. That being said, I also do not believe any of our church will decrease donations because of an elimination of tax benefits. Actually, it would probably have an opposite effect. I'm neutral on the subject.

The words, “some,” and, “generally” confused you, huh?

There are or may still be some (an extreme minority) of places where churches are exempt from sales taxes on a select few items (like office supplies, for instance). However, the extreme vast majority of churches in the United States are not exempt from sales taxes on anything at all.

Thus, generally, churches are not exempt from sales taxes.

Any time they purchase goods and products.

I.e. groceries, food, office supplies, computers and office equipment, sound equipment, video and lighting equipment, tables, chairs, pews, classroom supplies, janitorial and cleaning products, landscaping tools, landscaping supplies, books, curriculum, hymnals, music, arts and craft supplies, building materials, paint, hotel rooms. The list could go on and on, but on whichever goods you and I pay sales taxes churches also pay sales taxes.

I go to an Episcopal Church. Each church has the ability to make their own decisions as a congregation about doctrine and biblical interpretation. My church is fairly conservative, is very clear that homosexuality is a sin and does not sponsor nor condone gay marriage. If you go about 15 minutes down the road, theres an Episcopal church that literally flies rainbow flags out front. The larger Episcopal church along with the Anglican church are completely messed up and I do believe many of those people are going to hell.

I'm choosing to support my church and continue to donate and attend as a way to resist what has happened to the denomination. I see us as an outpost that is holding out against Satan and I am not ready to abandon them. However, the moment that changes we are out of there in a hurry. It's my hope that God sees why I continue to worship him there, and I try my best to follow his word.

I'm glad to hear this and it gives me hope, at least for now.

Even right here in the beating heart of Red Oklahoma where there are something like seven to ten churches per square mile, the Episcopalian churches are full-on woke. It's disheartening in general.

Don't tax the churches, bro. That'll hurt the other scammers, too, bro.

You’re leaving 100 percent of your estate to charities. Are they scammers too?

Not the ones I work with. That's why I work with them.

You aren't dumb enough to think there aren't plenty of churches and charities out there outright scamming people.
