All movements begin with ideas, ideas in an of themselves aren’t violent of course, but coupled with weak minds, they become dangerous. Weak minds like to mock and disregard history, until it bites them in the arse. Mockers are always blinded by their own hatred.

I survived the sixties and seventies relatively intact mentally. You know Woodstock, Vietnam War, the sexual revolution. I can trace the decline of this country (and Christianity) to one date/event.....January 22, 1973. If you don't know the significance of that date.....Google it.

Now we watch as a tax subsidized business (that is what it is really) is harvesting the bodies of late term aborted babies, dismembering the bodies, slicing up the tissue and selling the tissue for profit. Polls show most Americans oppose abortion, but the genocide still plagues us.

I did what I could do to stop it. I stood in front of abortion referral clinics (in a Strip Mall) and prayed until it shut down. Now Satan rages against me.

They crucified my leader because he dared to challenge the status quo. I figure that's what awaits me. If I were younger I would do it all again. My biggest regret? There is no one to take my place. My poor grandchildren.

Gloria Patri.

while I find your comment funny in one sense, for the most part it is childish and makes no sense in the real world.

To say that social media isn't powerful in the destruction of people and entities, which is what you are essentially saying, shows an extreme ignorance on your part.

How absolutist and all powerful of you to make such a judgement.

One, I heavily qualified my statement to ensure it was clear that it was not a view held by all, so I’m not sure where your absolutist claim comes from. That said, ABeka is a terrible curriculum if the aim is going to college and functioning in any scientific field.

I appreciate your recognition that you feel I am all-powerful, but I assure you neither my comment nor my reality is one of omnipotence.

You ever stop to think about how those attacking Christian schools would tell others "whatever you believe is cool with me! I am open minded!"

I have never tweeted about #ExposeChristianSchools, but this thread sparked my curiosity. It appears the vast majority of tweets are first-person accounts of bad experiences. These were kids/young adults saying “this is the stuff they taught me that was wrong or inappropriate.” I don’t give a crap what you believe. No skin off my back.

I mean teaching from the Bible clearly is the recipe for societal failure as evidenced by the last 500 years of history.

Your arbitrary time period notwithstanding, it’s pretty clear that when religion is used for personal reflection and societal guidelines, it has the capacity to do a lot of good. It also has shown the potential for extreme misuse. My guess is that most of those tweeting about this weren’t going to a place like St. Thomas Moore or Catholic High BR where the subjects are still rigorous and instruction isn’t extreme. The examples seemed to be from more fringe religious schools.

Private schools cost money. Those supporting this cannot afford them. So they attempt to destroy.

Liberal 101. If you don't agree with us, you are a racist. If we can't join you, you must be destroyed.
There are ways to accomplish any goal you set before yourself. Sacrifice in areas where you can to support the other areas that give your children a better future. Go and talk to the Christian School’s board explaining your situation and 9 times out of 10, they will work wit you.

False!

I've never heard of this in any church I went to.
In fact, I consider the checkup to be UN-Christian.

I think most people’s problem with the schools (of those that have a problem with it) is that Christian curriculums like ABeka often don’t just teach religion alongside traditional coursework with the goal of creating well-educated, Christian students. It too often infuses religion into science (Earth as 6,000 years old as one example; taking student groups to the Creation Museum as another) and other subjects in a manner in which weakens the students understanding of the real world. That, and there are many other examples being offered on Twitter that I’m extremely glad I didn’t experience at the Catholic school I went to from 2-5th grade (who knows how exaggerated they are though...it’s Twitter).

Have you studied "Christian curriculum"?

I home-schooled 2 very successful students in a Christian school that did not do any of those things that you suppose. Neither did any of my Christian friends.

So you are exaggerating.

The left always finds an extreme example to portrait as common when it is something they want to eliminate from our society.

Ignorance like yours assists them.

Pray for our nation leaders, religious leaders, and school leaders.

Break and loosen the hold of all demonic influence in the name of Jesus!

Do it every morning and night.

Yes. I went to Catholic school as a grade schooler and we homeschooled my daughter from 2nd through 8th grade to maintain consistency due to frequent moves for work. We evaluated many curriculums. In doing so we looked at both religious and more mainstream curriculums. ABeka was a popular religious based one at the time.

If you go to the ABeka site and look through the 8th grade flash cards, you will still find gems like this:

“evolution:
attempts to free man from God and his responsibility to hs Creator”

ABeka

And before you reiterate your claim that it’s an extreme, fringe curriculum...

I'm sure this is a veiled slap at all private schools. Well, except the elitist private prep schools in the Northeast.

I've seen so much pro public school propaganda lately that I'm sure it's just part of a larger plan.
