The US needs the ability to pivot quickly in response to other countries imposing high tariffs on the US.
It is a national security issue when a block of foreign countries can step in and crush the US Economy.
It’s no different from a direct attack on the US or the use of a biological weapon.
The President needs to be able to quickly respond to world events while congress debates the filibuster.

This was too subtle for everyone to pick up as sarcasm.

"We are for leaders to disobey the Supreme Court now?"
yes it's a Presidential tradition:
"I promised to ease student debt for millions of folks. The Supreme Court blocked me, but it didn’t stop me.
I found another way to help more than 3.7 million people—teachers, nurses, police officers, firefighters—with over $130 billion in relie"

Which overseas producers lowered base prices on prior too, thus effectively paying themselves

Oh, bullshite.
What needs to happen is that Trump needs to stop 'effing around and get serious and just put a 10,000% tariff on everybody.
Set it and forget it.
If tariffs are paid by foreign producers and they are going to replace income taxes and they bring back American jobs and they force other countries to comply with what we want them to do and they pay off the debt and there's enough money left over for stimulus checks, why are we fricking around with these tiny little tariffs?
Let's just hook up the Marty McFly/Dr. Emmet Brown guitar amp and play that G chord with a metal pick already.

While I appreciate you taking the time to make apparent that medical equipment needing production in American held lands I’m sure you are aware medical supplies aren’t cheap useless products, which are different than say most of items shipped from overseas.

So a producer reduces costs to vendors matching tariffs is still American population paying higher rates ? Is the producer paying or is the vendor paying tariffs?

I upvoted you because I'm familiar with your username and can recognize sarcasm.
We really do need a sarcasm font though.

Only an idiot would be excited to pay more for goods and services. Same people would lose their minds if Obama did the exact same thing. And then you can't understand why people think you're involved in a cult.

If a democrat president would be doing these same things, we would have nonstop threads blaming democrats because mechanical pencils went up 10 cents. Now we just allow businesses to pass massive costs to consumers but defend it to the fricking death because its "oWn'InG ThE LiBs"

I know right. Whenever Trump talks about giving us back some of our taxes, a large group here complains about it.
And then you actually had those same "conservatives" come out against the tax breaks in the BBB because the CBO considers tax breaks to be spending, so they did too.
Our Founding Fathers favored tariffs. But in today's age, conservatives are going against the people who gave us this country and still somehow think they are more principled for it.

Did you say "useless" in your original post? I remember "cheap," I don't remember "useless."
If they are truly "useless," then why would anyone buy them anyway, apart from tariffs?
My point is that one of the oft repeated fallacies to try to justify these asinine tariffs is, "Don't buy products made overseas and you won't have to pay the tariffs," is easily exposed as a crock.
If that is not what you were arguing, I apologize, I mis-interpreted your post.
However, if that was not your point, what was it?

No they don't, stop lying.
A small group laughs at those of you who believe that Trump can take in $200 Billion in taxes (tariffs) and use it to pay off the debt, give everyone a $2,000 stimulus check, and replace the income tax with it.
And also the fact that y'all still do not understand that you're the one paying the $200 billion in the first place.
