Smart. He is giving Elon a way to save face and not feel he is backed into a corner.

like how he is basically saying “I haven’t even thought about Elon because I have been too busy working on bla bla bla” Deep down I think Trump is freaking out a little though
Just like Elon is getting killed for “if you believe he’s a pedo why did you let your kids around him”
Trump is at least sidestepping “if you thought he was an unhinged unwell drug fueled crazy guy why’d you give him this access”
He needs to wish him well and amicably part if possible

Trump genuinely sounds hurt & bummed at losing what he thought was a friend.
And it’s not even his fault.
Trump was the one making personal attacks when all Elon did was criticize the bill.
Doesn’t make sense that then he’d be the one “hurt and bummed over losing a friend” when Elon finally had enough and punched back.

I was genuinely amazed at the restraint Trump used even before Musk’s Epstein troll.
IMO, it seems Trump has some basic level of respect for Elon that this latest unpleasantness hasn’t ruptured.

Finally, the frickin' guy wises up. Elon Musk could utterly wreck his shite. He's smart not to shitpost this crazy fricker or say anything stupid.

The best reaction he could give.
Be humble and wish him well so this could all die down and get Musk to chill.
It is indeed.
Trump is afraid of Musk and rightly so.

Trump doesn't respect anyone who criticizes him. The President's exercising restraint because he knows Musk could lame duck his arse from now until the end of his Presidency.

Some of the conspiracy theories are more believable than what we believe is the reality. Most likely Elon realized he took a massive PR hit and he was unhappy with being unpopular. His legacy and his image are incredibly important to him. He realized he needed to save face. I think Trump realizes this as well since it’s happened to him too
Any time something this loud is done publicly, it is largely theater. Like most things, the truth is probably far more in the middle. I have no problem believing two people with their personalities have had some very big clashes. What’s happened here, coinciding so conveniently exactly when Elon goes back to private sector, wreaks of exactly what you’re saying.
Now then, has it been entertaining to watch the shitshow? Absolutely.

Putting aside the fact Trump already is a lame duck presidency by virtue of term limits, how so?
Send another mean tweet?
The Epstein troll was devastatingly effective yet beyond that, what leverage does Musk have over Trump?

I would be too. It appeared they had a great working relationship with common goals and Elon really helped Trump get elected.
Elon throwing a fit because things didn’t go 100% like he wanted was ridiculous. You can’t make a show about cutting govt spending then get irate when the spending that directly benefits you gets cut. Why should everyone else who benefits from govt contracts or programs sacrifice their livelihood but not the richest man in the world? Elon looked like a petulant child and it’s a shame because he had valid criticism of BBB but he went about trying to fix it entirely wrong

Donald Trump isn't a guy that commands respect. Not from his political enemies. Not from the Party he's failed to unify. Not from foreign adversaries, and sure as shite not from Elon Musk, the techno-industrialist and media mogul who owns twatter and can buy the mid-terms with the change in his sofa cushions.
There's alot Elon Musk can do to frick Donald Trump.

So in other words, “They got him NOW!”?
The problem is, I’ve been hearing this same narrative for 10 years since Trump took the down escalator in Trump Tower to announce his Presidential bid.

Elon has always been very liberal.

Trump isn’t running again.

Here's the entire post you're attempting to respond to. You mistakenly missed a few pieces...

Elon Musk isn't trying to "get" Donald Trump. He's not trying to send him to jail and he didn't try to keep him from becoming President. But if Donald Trump doesn't keep a civil tongue in his head (as he's wisely doing right now) then Musk can easily damage his Presidency. More so than what Trump could ever do on his own.
