He probably has known her for a long time.
I have no reason to doubt his loyalty to his wife just because he gets married to a long time acquaintance. There are women I know professionally that I think are lovely people, but I'd never betray my vows.
There are things to dislike politicians over, but this is not one of them.

Frankly, she may be "beautiful and lovely", but we know absolutely nothing about her "character" nor just how deep her friendship with Ghiselle was; NOR the actual circumstances of her meet up with her current husband.
