We need trump to get the economy where it was before COVID. I think DeSantis could do that too. I’m voting for Trump in the primary but would gladly vote for DeSantis in the general. The Trump and DeSantis factions need to stop bickering.

So basically the DeSantis supporters need to shut up and let Trump keep calling him a gay pedo who faked his wife's cancer and go soft on him so he gets the nomination. No. If Trump still has his fastball he needs to show it and fight and stop hanging out in MAL and having his Influencers do his talking for him. If he wins I will vote for him without question but he has to earn it and stop acting entitled to it.
DeSantis just passed the most conservative slate of Legislation of my lifetime in FL, he's got more than double Trump's money, he's building a massive GOTV organization, and he is barnstorming. He's fighting like a SOB. If Trump does the same and wins then we all win. If he isn't capable of doing that anymore though he needs to stay on the golf course.
There is simply no justification for the lead candidate for the party out of power not having an event for a month and having nothing scheduled. Trump needs to be out there working.

I'm all in on DeSantis who is an actual conservative and not a Populist. I'll vote for any GOP candidate over Biden, Trump is my 3rd choice right now after DeSantis and Vivek. I'd take him over Scott, Haley, or certainly Pence.

Reagan's second term was no where near as strong as his first. He got rolled by Dems in Congress with Amnesty, "Saving SS", Iran Contra, and the Gun Bill of '86. The only big accomplishment was finishing off the Soviets (which was huge). He was Trump's age now essentially when he LEFT office.
Anyone that thinks the Trump from age 69-73 will be the same as the Trump from 77-81 simply doesn't understand aging. Arguing Trump is great for his age is nice and all but realize that Trump is literally at Life expectancy now so the average person his age is about to die. Trump has never lived a healthy lifestyle outside of not drinking or doing drugs as he doesn't eat well or exercise regularly.
So our best case scenario is Trump is 50% of what he was in 2016. The very likely scenario is he becomes what Biden is now or worse. Time is like pussy, it's undefeated.

I disagree because you're dealing with vastly different levels of lucidity in individuals regardless of age. IE, Trump is more lucid right now than 90% of 20 y.o. college students. His thinking process is faster and expression of those thoughts is faster. If you don't believe this you need to have the depressing experience of talking to today's college students.
They have extremely limited vocabularies and each sentence requires at least 5 'uh, like, ya knows'. The most depressing thing I've learned from watching 100s of college discussion videos the past 2 years is the lower intellectual levels of college professors. None of these people could have gotten a job in the 60s at a decent university.
"You got a zero because your paper contained the term 'biological woman'. There is no such thing."
Desantis is a very sharp guy and I have no problem voting for him. Cruz is a very sharp guy but I don't see him running. Trump is much sharper than any of the Dems on the list. Even RFK, Jr. has some slow thinking issues when being interviewed live.
