right i mean we have only discussed it ad infinitum the last 8 years here especially with the likes of IB A CHINAMAN with his chinese trinket import business among others.
some people need to go dig up past threads with IB. it is all laid out there crystal clear for them to understand. OP needs to go find those threads. we gave responses and evidence

USA made close to a TRILLION dollars through tariffs during his first presidency- I don’t remember inflation skyrocketing and price increases in anything. The only price increases I saw was from companies that had so much work that they had to Jack prices up to keep up with the demand.
Think about it… let’s say you have been going to the grocery store for the past 10 years and you decided to put a tariff on you nearest Kroger or Publix. Now, every time you go grocery shopping at Kroger or Publix, you get 20% cash back for everything you spent.
I don’t see what’s so bad about that.

Under Juan Peron Trump, trade deficits grew. It's a tax hike period.

So you understand Trump code?
How do you know what he intends?
They have to wait to see what occurs in reality. If Trump says he'll do something that he doesn't end up doing, that was just Trump being Trump and you're an idiot for not understanding that he just likes to exaggerate.
If he does end up doing it that's because he's not a politician and he follows through on his promises.

Uhm, what's stupid is moving your manufacturing to Mexico and paying a 200% tarriff.
The Rust Belt union guys love it.

The tariffs he implemented in his first term worked out pretty well. We were on on our way to finally having a balance in imports and exports.

John Deere would have to build them in the US. They could not sell any tractors with a 200% tariff and it would force them to relocate manufacturing.
