This is the real reason Congress has/is making such a push to ban it.
Watching the hearings last year where our ancient congressmen/women questioned the CEO was legit comedy gold.

Not a Tiktok user because i dont like short content. But allowing Facebook, Apple, etc to buy political influence to ban chinese competition over made up reasons doesnt sound very capitalist and american to me.

Bet Ron would have banned TikTok. I was told on here that Trump couldn't be bought off and that Ron was a unitary GOPe stooge who needed the money.
Funny how Trump met with their biggest investor and switched course immediately. I guess that's how capitalism works

I think there are probably plenty of reasons to be wary of a tik Tok ban
But, I think conservatives need to rid themselves of "because it doesn't sound very capitalist" as an excuse to do/not do something

He said that he still had national security and privacy concerns about TikTok but that he also had the same concerns about American companies.

Biden should sign an EO right now banning TikTok. He would get so much support. He would turn the entire country blue. There would be no pushback and full support of banning TikTok. Trump has opened the doors for Biden to win easily. Ban TikTok.
