Prove you're not clueless and ignorant on any other candidate's tax returns. I'll let you pick. Honor code on not researching to find talking points.

Eta
Or just down vote and ignore otherwise like a passive aggressive pussy. That also proves my point.

Because you aren't a private citizen, and the people of the United States should know about your dealings.

The popular vote of 30 states and 304 electors disagree with you.

I am an Independent and definitely want to see his personal Tax returns. I would like to see how the new plan would affect him. Do Trump supporters want to see his returns and if not please explain. What is he hiding?

I have been a registered independent since 1985. I don't give two shits about his tax returns or anyone else's. There's real work that needs to be done.

Also independent, and didn't vote for him. I couldn't care less if he ever releases them.

To what extent and on which topics? Which may have a more important effect on "the people", business connection or ideological connections? Is it more important to know a persons finances or a persons past pro or anti American positions?

You know where it would go. Legitimate and legal business arrangements would be spun in a negative way.

This would have the effect of excluding the best, brightest, and most talented people from the presidency.
Only career politicians whose returns largely have benign salary payments from working for years in government would remain as viable candidates.

Exactly what we don't need.

If they are public dealings, I'm sure he has to file financial statments and those can be seen.

You have no right to see anyone else's private tax returns. That is between the citizen and the IRS.

ts a stupid fad for politicians to do.

It's common practice- since 1972 every single major party nominee for President has released multiple years of tax returns with one glaring exception- the candidate a growing number of people think has ties to foreign powers and may in fact be using the office of the Presidency for personal and familial gain.

Not to mention anyone he has had business dealings with in the past would be vilified by the left.

How about a trade off..?

Obama's application to Occidental/Columbia showing what Nationality he claimed and his transcripts for Trump's tax returns.

Majority of this board don't care if he releases his taxes. While a majority of Americans and that includes a majority republicans want him to release his taxes.

That does not include the fact he said multiple times during the campaign he would. Does that make him a liar?

Are you kidding me? You're telling me the 51% of Americans who were too fat and lazy to walk their lazy arse to a polling place and actually vote are worried about trumps tax returns? 99% of the people that actually want to know what is in his tax returns want to know to have information to use against him. Only a tiny fraction of people care about this.

How would releasing his tax returns address this?
