Where was your bleating on this? Did this make you get a patriotic boner when Obama did this? Or did you decide not to criticize because Obama is black?
Why is the Washington Times the only media outlet to report the facts found by this bipartisan Congressional subcommittee?
You are as partisan as the day is long, everyone on here sees through you
Don't bring up the FACT that Obama used our tax dollars to influence the Israeli elections.
We're focusing on the possibility that maybe the Russians exposed the DNC lies.

Document your reaction to Obama interfering with Israel's election, please. The same one American liberals took an unusual interest in, with wailing and gnashing of teeth all the way from Portland to the cardboard shanties at Occupy Wall Street.

Being critical of Trump and some of his policies and ideas (like his sub/cuck relationship with Putin )makes you a "leftist" around here bro. It's hilarious. It's better than hilldawg having won but still it's hilarious nonetheless.

You have gone in a few short months from mocking Trump for saying the election is rigged, to melting down that The Russians rigged the election. And throughout it all , one thing has been consistent: Your over-the-top-Chicken-Little hysterical whining combined with your insufferable moral vanity. Frankly, your message has grown tiresome and boorish.
Here is some Realpolitik. Russia is and always has been our geopolitical enemy. I have never wavered on that. But Obama's approach (which has been to cower) has failed. And here in the final last gasps of his Presidency, he's undermining the next President's position. And here you are (surprise surprise) to carry Obama's water and condemn Trump for simply keeping his options open until his administration is in place.
Seriously. You need to exhibit some humility and self-audit your amazingly poor track record of reading the tea leaves. You need to talk less and listen more. You really do. I don't know how else to say it. You are such a conventional thinker, and so unoriginal in your analysis, that you literally can't imagine that Trump might have another approach that he can not unveil until he is the actual POTUS, and that it might actually be effective. That's where your moral vanity comes in- you won't accept Trump, you are still in a state of perma-melt and you don't give him the credit he deserves for being a master persuader. If you want to understand instead of melt, consider that he now has MORE options at his disposal then if he blindly followed Obama's lead, which has been an eight year joke. The last thing he needs to do is allow the next four to eight years of US-Russia relations be dictated by an unprecedented Obama special-little-snowflake-like meltdown.

I think that his pathetic and oppose it. Sorry if I didn't start a post about it to satisfy you. Who are you? I didn't start a post about this either. I might have been busy, at work, living life, or doing other things.
But, yes. I think that Obama has been an enemy of Israel for some time now and his position has been deplorable. I totally oppose him. I thought that Kerry's speech this past week was a joke.
What's funny is that when I was supporting Israel on here a couple of years ago, I kept running into anti-semite libertarians blasting me for that too - calling me a Neo-Con and crap like that, which I am not. Now, they are all for Israel again. I haven't changed.
Do I have to take a quiz to assert my conservative credentials so I can post here? Screw you.
I haven't changed and don't plan on it. When Trump does something good, I'll praise him - if I have time off and can post on this board and am not doing something else. I'm all about giving credit where it is due.
When he screws up like this, I'll call him on it. You sound really sensitive. You might want to grow up.

Well, for one thing, you, like Obama, have turned from a relative pacifist who opposes American intervention abroad (am I wrong on that too?) but has, as the Constitutional transfer of power approaches, have turned into a wild-eyed scary warmonger?
What's the deal? What cross do you bear that forms your massive chip on the shoulder? Please... when you wrote "nativist" I knew there was something anti-American lurking underneath.

I'm astonished at what I have learned about the Republican Establishment in the last year. Truly astonished. It has been quite the education. My light bulb moment will always be the day The National Review did their "Never Trump" issue back in March.

It's neocons and "peaceful regressives" that suddenly want to escalate tension over the possibility that maybe Russia exposed the DNC.
It's comical.

the correct US decision is to quitely handle the situation and let the next administration swing the big stick. Obama is a moron and only doing this so the dems can try to cast doubt on the legitimacy of Trump's election.
The problem is Trump and most people are not morons and see Obama and the dems for the frauds they really are. Trump will most assuredly handle this issue and it will most likely be a behind the scenes issue that doesn't even concern the public.

Or more accurately that the Democrats have said, that the intelligence agencies have said, that the Russians were involved.
So far without any evidence.

Explain exactly what Russia did to give you a sad.
The DNC actually rigged their primary and later collaborated with the media during the general campaign to favor Clinton. We have email proof of this. To put it mildly, I'm furious that it has been totally ignored.
When the electioneering failed and Clinton lost, they screamed "Russians!"
Now we have the White House saying Russia "interfered" with the election, but they don't want to say what that means.
We know they didn't hack the voting machines. Clinton won the popular vote. The intelligence services wouldn't send anyone to a congressional hearing on the matter.
Now, the director of national intelligence, James Clapper, is telling us to take his word for it. You may remember him from the last time he perjured himself before Congress after the Snowden leaks.
Is it your position that we should sabre rattle with the Russians because some dipshits in the DNC fell for a phishing scam, causing the American people to learn the truth about the corruption within their own media and political class?
frick that. If this is what happened, and I suspect it is, then the Russians did us a huge public service. Obama comes off as an amateur trying to deflect blame away from the vermin in our own country.
So yeah, when Trump sends a message to the second most powerful military in the world that we don't have to engage in petty bullshite over the DNC's smokescreen, I'm not incensed.
If you want to convince me, show me proof that they "interfered" in any meaningful, pernicious way. I'll hang up and listen.
Have a great day.

Trump won. His claims about the election being rigged was that it would be rigged against him. That was stupid. He was wrong. I was right. He should not have said that.
quote:

I don't think that the Russians "rigged" the election. I never said that. I said they interfered and inserted themselves into the process, which I believe they did based on what our intelligence agencies have said. Perhaps you need to have a bit more humility and admit you may be wrong?
quote:
our over-the-top-Chicken-Little hysterical whining combined with your insufferable moral vanity.
Moral vanity? I don't think I'm better than anyone else. But, I have no desire to sell out my principles for power. If that is "moral vanity," then perhaps you are just morally bankrupt?
quote:

Agreed.
quote:
But Obama's approach (which has been to cower) has failed.
Agreed.
quote:

That makes no sense. Trump's position will be his own. All he had to do was shut up. He isn't president yet.
quote:
And here you are (surprise surprise) to carry Obama's water and condemn Trump for simply keeping his options open until his administration is in place.
I'm not carrying Obama's water. I haven't praised him. I have no idea if the sanctions are right or worth anything. I simply said that attacking Obama about what he chose to do and siding with Putin is utterly stupid. I stand by that. Trump has boxed himself in now.
quote:
You need to exhibit some humility and self-audit your amazingly poor track record of reading the tea leaves.
I predicted that Trump would win the nomination and election in the summer of 2015. I only wavered from that in August of this year when he was 10 points behind in the polls. Then, Comey made his statement and Hillary was the worst candidate in modern history. She still won the popular vote by almost 3 million. But, her campaign was garbage and she didn't even campaign in states that lost her the presidency. So, my earlier prediction was correct. Trump won. Hillary was horrible.
But, am I wrong at times? Absolutely. So, I am very willing to admit it and change direction. Trump winning doesn't make me wrong. I am right about who the man is. He has exhibited it for years now. If he changes and performs well, then I will be wrong. I hope he does and I hope I am wrong. I'd like nothing more because I love America and do not want us led by a prideful, arrogant man who only cares about himself.

You need to talk less and listen more. You really do. I don't know how else to say it.
I post a lot less than you do.
quote:
You are such a conventional thinker, and so unoriginal in your analysis, that you literally can't imagine that Trump might have another approach that he can not unveil until he is the actual POTUS, and that it might actually be effective.
I don't think that he is omniscient. I really don't. His approach is to make crap up and then sell it and then back down into a neutral position. I get it. I've read Scott Adams. I know what Trump is doing. He takes an extreme position and then gets everyone to the middle. He is getting predictable with it. No one knows his actual policies, though, so he keeps everyone on their heels. It will only work for awhile. This isn't real estate. The issues are too complex for him to keep at this for long. Eventually he will have to operate off of some principle.
quote:
That's where your moral vanity comes in- you won't accept Trump, you are still in a state of perma-melt and you don't give him the credit he deserves for being a master persuader.
I accept him. I have not doubted that he is legitimately the president. What are you talking about? I DISAGREE with him because he is a master MANIPULATOR, not persuader. He lies constantly. That isn't me melting. It is true. But, I've never not accepted him. You are making stuff up now.
quote:
consider that he now has MORE options at his disposal then if he blindly followed Obama's lead, which has been an eight year joke.
When did I say he should blindly follow Obama's lead? You are better than this. I said that he should not publicly oppose him and side with Putin. It makes him look like a lackey and unAmerican. His options are now limited. He is the incoming President of the United States. Act like it. He had several other options and chose one of the poorest ones. The other poor option would be to blindly praise Obama without having his own policy or seeing the evidence. I am not advocating for that. I'm saying that he should not have done what he did. There is a difference. But, he SHOULD support the integrity of our election process and not just dismiss the assertion that Russia tried to interfere. That is a colossal mistake at this point.
quote:
The last thing he needs to do is allow the next four to eight years of US-Russia relations be dictated by an unprecedented Obama special-little-snowflake-like meltdown.
Agree completely.
Your analysis of me is wrong, unless having an opinion that disagrees with Trump is some kind of a crime. Which, on this board, it is becoming.
I think that Trump lacks principle and integrity and he doesn't know what he is doing unless he is manipulating the masses to follow him. He is good at that. But, I don't respect him personally.
However, he will be my president and I will respect the office. My criticism of him is that he clearly does not - unless he is in it.
