It's because UFOs were associated with redneck kooks. UAP is preferred by the more urbane kooks.

Remember when the public learned Earth wasn’t the center of the universe?

Those explanations seemed crazy too.

I don’t think the existence of aliens should necessarily curtail belief in God, but I’m in the minority.

I agree on Hollywood. But I also believe that Hollywood has heavily been used to ease the world into the fact of aliens existing, not just faking alien existence to control us. There’s a wide variety of alien related TV and movies, and only a small amount of it is horror fiction. I think the government is leading the expansion of the genre to reduce the negative associations with aliens prior to going public. As it is, many people would be happy at this point because it would prove their beliefs

God could have created them. It certainly would discredit our science, which is fine because science should be tested and evolve everyday.

I choose to believe what I posted because there is CIA documents to back it up.

I think they changed the name, because of growing evidence of USO’s in the ocean

Exactly. Science will be discredited by things on other planets regardless. Science is not religion. Science is testing and conclusions and retesting when new data is found

Seems like a bunch of government word salad so far unless I missed something.

But why would you trust a disclosed CIA document? That just shows what the creator of the document believes or wants you to believe. That creator may have been led to believe those things

All the witnesses seem pretty good in the regard that they’re calling out the govt

“I would have to discuss that in a closed setting”

Jeremy Corbell had the hype train flying on this specific hearing… if this is it, he’s losing credibility.

I listened to a bit of it.

Elizondo testified about the document he signed which restricts what he could say. He vaguely identified the Department of Defense but wouldn’t go further.

I wonder why he wasn’t asked about the potential consequences for saying more. Most of us who have signed agreements as part of having access to high security clearance information are threatened with prosecution. I wish he would have been asked if he risks more than just prosecution for sharing information contrary to his signed agreements.

Or they’re not really “aliens,” but are inter dimensional beings or angels/demons.
