All of this 2028 talk is exhausting. I'm kicking back for a couple of years and enjoying the Orange Man.

Odd timeline?

Did he have prior enlisted service?
OCS?

Most commissioned officers make captain by 4 years.

My point. Even more so is that in 16 years he never promoted higher.

Andy Beshears will end up being their candidate.

They don't feel like white candidates "get them" or understand their struggle.

It's why Abby Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill are struggling to close the gap in those governor's races because a lot of blacks don't like suburban white women.

A lot of these Black voters didn't like Harris, because she is biracial. Someone in here said earlier she is not black.

Wes Moore, Jasmine Crockett will be tough, but I think Newsom or Andy Beshear probably wins the nomination overall.

Yikes. Sixteen years and he separated as a captain? That means he was passed over at least once in the Army Reserve or was not satisfactorily participating as a TPU (or both).

The Maryland governor is being groomed to be the nation's second Black president.

He's young, married, has the Obama style charisma that got Obama elected in '08 and 2012.

Suburban white women like guys like Moore, as they voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012.

His biggest downside is whether America is fatigued by black candidates and the race issue, and Latinos may not be interested in voting for another black candidate...they didn't give Kamala a ringing endorsement in 2024.

You act like being black is some sort of special qualification. I really don't think people give a shite about that anymore.

Good grief. I went through information on line. They are definitely keeping his military career under wraps. Nearly nothing about his sixteen years other than he was commissioned Military Intelligence in the Army Reserve, deployed with the 82nd Airborne Division to Afghanistan and was (retroactively) awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service.

Mighty thin.

Well, that 13 percent of the population is one of the biggest voting blocs in the Democratic Party.

South Carolina's primary is primarily decided by Black Democrats. The Southern Democratic primaries are decided by Black Democrats.

Moore, Crockett, Booker are favored there. AOC and Buttigieg aren't winning anywhere in the South.

True, but to Al Sharpton, Jim Clyburn who decide the Democratic nomination, it does.

He was either extremely incompetent or lazy. Come on, at least make Major in 16 years. I was enlisted but saw this a few times before. That’s why when I read his bio, I knew he was forced out. But the two times I’ve seen it, Captain was the ceiling.

This.

No Democrat cannot win the nomination without discussing black issues.

Moore, Crockett, Booker, Harris will assault any White or Latino Democrat who fails to go through their questioning.

When you have lost any semblance of control, with orcs wilding in the streets of your flagship city, then turn down help, and constantly lie on TV, I don't think sniffing the white house is in your itinerary.
