quote:Da Fuq? No one's murdered anyone in my family. We should "change" that. Silly. Change for the sake of change isn't necessary. In fact changing something to something else without regard to it's merits is downright stupid.
Starting or participating in a conversation about the necessity for changing some things is a step in the right direction.
quote:People that are dumb enough to think there is an "oligarchy in America" and further think that... consolidating and centralizing economic power will lessen the role of the "oligarchy"... deserve nothing more than mockery.
Mocking people who don’t think the current oligarchy in America
quote:Indeed. Mockery is not proof. Nor is it offered as proof. History is all the proof needed. It's voluminous. Those too ignorant to recognize it... deserve every bit of mockery and derision that comes their way. They are openly displaing their own ignorance. What else should they expect? A good ol'fashioned "atta boy" for being stupid?
accomplish or prove anything.
People that expect their own ignorance to be rewarded are due for disapointment.

there are few things in life more ironic than watching the self-identifying empathetic and progressive crowd argue for the deaths of billions of people, both directly (by claims of overpopulation) and indirectly (by promoting a failed, totalitarian system that leads to starvation due to the limitations of market demands
How is saying "the earth is overpopulated" an argument for the deaths of billions of people? Doesn't make sense.

So the leftist think/want to starve humanity sooner!

well capitalism is the only system that can feed these people
their arguments are that increasing populations will, in effect, kill the planet
how do you imagine they can reconcile the issues of producing food in a non-capitalist society and in a way that doesn't harm the earth? it's not possible. the only solution is the deaths of billions. it's malthusian-based socialism and the fact that it's becoming popular again is SCARY. it shows just how little these people value human life

Yep.
People who are dumb enough to disagree with me are deserving of mockery also.
This has been a really informative and useful discussion.

The systems in America benefit humanity the most?
in the history of humanity? yes
some theoretical system may be in our putative creative minds, but it hasn't materialized yet
and it sure as shite isn't socialism

definitely some serious intellectualism and rationality going on here.
That’s the only thing you offered to the conversation. That everyone who disagrees with you is dumb. So it’s cool for you to argue that way, but no one else? Gotcha.

I just wish part of “capitalism” wasn’t sending support to shitholes. If there’s a surplus of corn make something useful like whiskey or feed it to cows instead of feeding people thatre too lazy to feed themselves. We could end the refugee problem in like a year

If you believe that socialism or communism are better than capitalism you deserve to be openly ridiculed, mocked, and then killed.
After all, the only thing that makes the lowest peasant equal to the mightiest of Kings is death. And socialism and communism sure are filled to the gills with death

I agree with their premise that we cannot sustain an exponential growth of consumption but I think the solution will be technological progression.

Well, 'killed' is going too far. But Cubbies should be forced to post a pic of herself in a bikini. This would make ridiculing and mocking easier for us.

Not at all. frick communist and socialist. frick each and every one of them. If they are true believers, they are beyond help. Give them the equality they so dearly seek, at the bottom of a 6 foot hole.

just ask them what they'd do if you decided to leave their collective and form your own society with different rules next door
Like I've heard someone say before, "what's stopping you from practicing socialism now?". Under these socialist societies, capitalism is an underground game. In capitalist societies, local socialism is perfectly legal and not punished

If only the whole world would turn to socialism.. then they can all starve by 2030.
