I care less about sports than I ever have. Maybe it's because of all the politics and social justice or maybe just that phase in life where I realize it doesn't impact my day to day activities.
yeah for us
- gave up on the nba probably in the mid-90s
- gave up on college basketball probably in the mid-00s
- gave up on the nfl about 5 years ago
- gave up on college football other than LSU about the same time
- now giving up on LSU football
- ditched cable and espn 4 years ago and never looked back
Women's sports is completely over, the rest are destroying themselves.
I'm all for pulling anti-trust exemptions for pro sports, and I advocate no state/local funds for sports.

To TD, do your friends have the same attitude? Some of mine do.

Personally, I don't watch much NFL. It was a family choice, and a personal satisfaction choice.
My kids and my wife never got into it. I was a Saints fan. I mean I was an incense burning, Voodoo bead wearing, chicken bone rubbing fan asking, begging the Gods to let my Saints win. I was emotional about it. I lived, died and breathed with every draft, every game, every bit of news. I grew up hating the Cowboys and Atlanta.
I also grew into a super fan of the Dallas Mavericks and had the same passion.
About six years ago, I realized that what I was experiencing as a fan was unhealthy. When the Mavs lost I was too emotionally tied to those loses. I disassociated myself from it. Now, I don't even care. About three years ago, I came to realize I was living my passion for NFL football in general and the Saints alone. I was ignoring spending time doing activities with my family away from the house. I was ignoring doing things that improve the quality of my life and the upkeep of my home. So I stopped watching. Slowly at first. DVR helped.
At first, I would avoid getting scores on TV or the Internet so that I could watch the game if I wanted to and be "into" it. But after a while I got to the place where I just really didn't care anymore.
Last season, seriously, I had no idea which teams were in the playoffs. The wife and kids went out of town, so I went to a local place to eat. That was the first game I watched for months, but I felt so disconnected, and didn't care.
I wish LSU's players the best when they reach the NFL, and I hope Burrow has an amazing career, but rare will be the moments when I watch. It just doesn't mean anything to me anymore. Not only was the stone over the grave, but this BLM crap has cemented it in place.

If the nfl refuses to play this season... then it makes brees look even more like a little bitch.

The NFL is dead. I stopped watching when they let the Rams f over STL. Seeing Kroenke lost court battles and dump extra billions in his LA boondoggle is a joy to watch. F'em all!

frick the BLMNFL. I hope it implodes permanently and all these millionaire protestors don't get paid a penny.

Normal folks are starved for sports, NFL will get great ratings when it returns. Especially since it’s looking more and more likely that college football won’t be happening.

Losing the NFL Season
Good riddance.
Let's split college games 1/2 on Saturday and 1/2 on Sundays. I would rather watch Colgate vs. Yale than the NFL.

Thx Dale! Have my upvote proudly. SJW football will lose me and if Drew Brees kneels I will be done forever.

The ratings slightly bounced back the two seasons but are down over the longer term i.e. no or negative growth as they got Afro man out of the picture. The NFL will be losing billions and billions once all the major contracts expire and they are making this drastically worse.
As far as I am concern, the anti-trust exemption needs to be pulled on all pro sports and let them compete like other businesses. The NFL will have to basically disappear.

I hope the NFL folds just to see all the athletes taught a lesson on biting the hand that feeds you. The cries of white lash and racism will be funny to hear too.

Used to love the NFL when there weren't so many rules and social justice. Now it's just exhausting. As has been said, frick the NFL.

As much as I hate to say it, I'd go back to watching the NFL if they did an about face...
We need to reward organizations that drop the pc bullshite and go back to being pro-America. Even if they're doing it just to stay operating.
