The Iranians keep saying that any talks about limiting their Ballistic Missile program is off the table. It will be interesting to see if any headway can be made with them if the talks take place.

The 2nd carrier is still a ways off. My guess is that Trump is still holding off to allow more time to get air defenses in place.

Most likely so. USAF is still pouring assets into the region for strikes and defense from ballistic missiles. Once that second carrier group gets positioned they will probably be some kind of ultimatum that Iran will ignore and then it's on.

The North Korea effect. If a country can manage to get nukes, they are untouchable. The regime wants to get there so bad. They will never volunteer to give it up. Prolly hope Russia or China slips them a nuke.
Remember, back in the day, we were caught off guard when N Korea tested their nuke. I think it was under the Clinton Administration.
