Russia more than likely. They are known for taking in malcontents and giving them refuge from the world after they get their shite kicked in, providing of course they have the coin. I'm pretty sure the regime has stolen enough from the people of Iran to at least finance the "retirement" of their top brass in Russia.

Russia, Qatar, UAE, or Bahrain, most likely. However, based on the level of posturing on the part of the UK lately, it could be London.

My guess is Russia

Bashar al Assad could use a roommate. Someone to stay up late and play video games with.

Why wouldn’t an aircraft carrier be able to conduct flight operations while transiting? Isn’t that kinda the whole point of aircraft carriers?

Distance. What to get as close as possible to avoid or minimize in flight refueling. Sitting in the Eastern Mediterranean will take at least one in-flight refueling operation to go into Iran, carry out a mission and fly back.

Why would this mean Trump team has just punted? Since when does repositioning military assets mean "punted"?

That is why we have sent so many tankers to the Middle East. Operating one carrier in the Eastern Med allows us to provide additional SAM coverage for Israel and keeps one of our carriers out of range of Iranian antiship missiles.

The big problem with all these tankers and jets operating as such an increased level is that I can barely afford to fill up my private jet.

I hear you brother. I had almost had to share a jet with my cousin to go to Milan for the game.

They’ve been at sea for 8 months. The lack of pussy is a bigger problem than broken toilets.

You sure about that? Lack of pussy is a problem but I think overflowing shitters is a bigger morale problem.

Makes sense. They probably have to pump off sewerage and take on supplies, water etc.

One more time we have tankers throughout the region. What exactly is the problem we did this shite in Iraq and Afghanistan toss in Syria and Hillary's lead from behind bullshite in Libya. Multiple refuelings in and out.

How about yoyo Operations overhead multiple refuelings in a 6-8 hour fighter sortie?

Btw we flew 40-50 tanker missions ever 24 hours out of the Deid for months on end.

Supporting the Navy USAF and foreign aircraft.
