Once the protests die down, behind the scenes, the IRGC will will go on a torture and murder rampage. Those poor people!

The protesters in Kyiv did not have weapons but they brought down the Yanukovich regime. The difference between the Euromaiden and this protests is that the majority of the Ukrainian military leaders refused to follow orders to attack the protesters and that is what caused Yanukovich to flee to Russia in the middle of the night. If the army or even part of the army decides that it can no longer back the IRGC and the regime and either returns to their barracks or switches sides then the protesters have a chance.

WeeWee, high hopes are one thing but all too often reality doesn't go hand in hand with them. I am afraid at this point, the power brokers in Iran still have the "nuts" and can push their will until there is some valid capabilities of pushing back. If you see that materialize, then I can see some fissures come about but until then it sounds like it is a slaughterhouse until the protestors get outside help or their will breaks.

The United States stands firmly behind the Iranian people in their call for freedom and justice.

At the direction of President Trump, the Treasury Department is sanctioning key Iranian leaders involved in the brutal crackdown against the Iranian people. Treasury will use every tool to target those behind the regime’s tyrannical oppression of human rights.

My statement was not an expression of hope or a prediction. It was statement of facts. The majority of the Ukrainian military and secret police refused to follow Yanukovich's orders to attack protesters in Ukraine back in 2014. It was only the special police from Crimea who attacked the protesters. If the Iranian military and/or special police stop following orders from the IRGC and Ayotallah then the protesters have a chance of succeeding without needing to be armed. If that does not happen then the protesters will need to be armed and/or the regime taken out by air strikes.

Karoline Leavitt confirms that President Trump has STOPPED the Iranian regime from executing over 800 Iranian protesters.

She made it clear that Trump is CLOSELY monitoring the situation in Iran.

LEAVITT: “What I will say with respect to Iran is that the president and his team have communicated to the Iranian regime that if the killing continues, there will be grave consequences.”

“And the president received a message as he revealed to all of you in the whole world yesterday that the killing and the executions will stop.”

“And the president understands today that 800 executions that were scheduled and supposed to take place yesterday were halted.”

“And so the president and his team are closely monitoring this situation, and all options remain on the table for the president.”

Elon needs to get BigBalls and the other autistic kids to figure out how to break through the jamming. We need more news about what is going on in the country.

If its not obviouis over the last few weeks that Trump has control of the situaiton it never will be. They know exactly what is going on, what they are going to do and waiting for the best time to do it, I have no doubt.

Relax and enjoy the ride.

SIGNS OF REGIME COLLAPSE? REPORTS OF IRANIAN MILITARY DEFECTIONS EMERGE

Analyst Shanaka Anslem Perera says Iran's IRGC Intelligence Org went public on Jan 9, admitting they're "dealing with possible acts of abandonment" in their ranks.

They suddenly deleted it hours later. In 45 years, that's a first.

The move raised red flags on the regime's grip slipping and that some security forces might bail on killing protesters.

He argues regimes fall when troops stop firing, not just from economic crashes (like Venezuela survived hyperinflation but Romania flipped fast in '89).

The prediction? 90 days til the regime collapses.

Unit defections, the economy, unrest, and resentment towards Iran's regime, that's the recipe.

Hold up just a minute there Hoss.
I'm a strong believer in, if you break it, you buy it. However, we ain't breaking or broken anything. The Iranian people, the Mullahs, and their theocracy are getting broken internally by themselves. We're just trying to help the slaughter to stop. We didn't start this fire, but we might well put it out.
The Iranian people started this, they'll be the ones to determine the outcome. This isn't a nation building effort on our part, but I believe we're obligated to help if the Iranians call upon help. Don't you turn this into US ownership.
It's true, no good deed goes unpunished.

I'm hoping out ambassador goes in there like Adlai Stevenson did during the Cuban Missile Crisis and present facts, make the Iranian regime look like the butchers they are, say this is why we are about to do what we are about to do, and within the hour start hitting the regime with airstrikes.

If the high holy rollers bail out to Russia or some other country , I suspect the opposite will be true. The people will go on a torture murder rampage against the IRGC.

Yup, there's going to be some action coming up. If the Iranian military starts heavy defections, hard to imagine not going in there and breaking as many shiny Iranian military toys as possible. Put the Iranian people in a more neutral military position for their future country.
