Cut the head(s) of the chicken(s) off and let them kill each other.
Even Pablo Escobar was a trapped prisoner of his own country with billions of US cash he couldn't spend.

The cartel just better hope none of their people are stupid enough to attack our border patrol or military.
It seems like this could very well happen.
Best they can do now is pretty much to close shop, try to hide and wait out at least 4 years and hope their partners/ Democrats get some power back.

Who said anything about a heavy, boots on the ground conflict?
Cartels have no hellfire missles. They have no drones other than upgraded hobby drones. No aircraft. No helos. No ships. No armor. No missles. No precision guided munitions. No artillery. No satellites. No sophisticated jamming. No allies. No f’n chance.

The cartel will go after military, police, politician leaders families and maybe even hit American families that have family members involved in operations
They will certainly try — we live in interesting times…

The US military just finished fighting a 20 year war with insurgents from every corner of the earth. And the only reason why there is even a lizard alive and crawling around where the US military fought over the last 20 years is because of restraint and dumb arse rules of engagement.
If the US military goes in on the cartels with Trump in office and Hegseth in the pentagon there will be no holding back. The US will be in it to win and the cartels will have a force unleashed on it like never before in history.
See who is fricking laughing after that, bitch.

It would be a shame if that terrorist-sympathizing bitch got deported to live with the cartel she adores.

The Cartels have better military capabilities than you are giving them credit for. Also, they have only one rule they play by - WIN. Just win. They don’t care about optics. In fact, the harsher the optics the better for them.
We don’t have the political will to defeat the cartels in a heavy, boots on the ground type conflict. Hell, I don’t even know if we have the wherewithal to go after them in a limited capacity. When bodies start stacking people will fold.
These are good points. However, the cartels are vitally dependent on two things: freedom of maneuver within Mexico, and easy access to the US. If we put the military on the border, there is no longer access to the US. We don't have to put boots on the ground to disrupt and deny their freedom of maneuver within Mexico. If the cartels can't maneuver in Mexico and gain access to the US, they cannot exist.

Are we that friggin gone as a superpower that we are worried about Mexicans coming into this country and waging war? Cause that’s friggen war. The forefathers gave us the 2nd to include defense against dumbass decisions by Mexicans.

Mexico will not tolerate collateral damage by the US if they are allowed to operate in Mexico.
They will quash their own citizenry in their country that would dare attack their neighbor or they will sit back and reap the whirlwind. They have two friggen choices. They should choose wisely.
We showed a group of well armed and battle hardened Russians in Syria what happens when they FO during the battle of Khasham. And the cartels are no Wagner group.

Have you seen the pics of our military now? We have whole brigades full of LGBTQ+ soldiers. You think the Cartels couldn’t battle it out with them?

The cartels would be wiped from the planet in 24-48 hours at most without the US military suffering a single injury due to the cartels.
What a dumb bitch ?
How would we do that when many are mixed within the Mexican communities? We would have to kill many innocents as well to just bomb them all away like you are saying and you know that isn't going to happen.

You honestly think the TV generals who paraded the handful of weirdos they could locate in uniform is representative of the entire US MIL?
You're dumber than I originally thought.

A MOAB will burn the lungs out of someone a half a mile below ground.
People really have no idea how dangerous the U.S. Military is.

How would we do this, exactly?
This is just like terrorism where there isn't a full member list to reference.

This is a big muh fight circle jerk, at this point.
Intelligence isn't a priority.

Milley and Austin absolutely wrecked our military.

Just over an hour after sunrise on 31 July, long-time al-Qaeda boss Ayman al-Zawahiri walked out onto the balcony of a downtown Kabul compound - reportedly a favourite post-prayer activity of the veteran Egyptian jihadist.
It would be the last thing he would do.
At 06:18 local time (01:38 GMT), two missiles slammed into the balcony, killing the 71-year-old but leaving his wife and daughter unscathed inside. All the damage from the strike appears to be centred on the balcony.

On that point, we do not disagree.
They're also not the baws carrying the rifles or with their hands on the sticks.
You've seen how quickly the Trump Effect has impacted economics and social issues. If you don't believe SecDef Hegseth will right the ship with a quickness, then that's on you.

Bull fricking shite
If you think the US armed forces are going to be allowed to operate with no holds barred, you are in for a serious disappointment. There was a poster on here talking about a Tomahawk cruise missile fired into Mexico.
We will go in there, kill a few low level foot soldiers, destroy some hardware/supplies, declare victory and come home without accomplishing much.
FFS, you have assholes on here caterwauling about Israel killing Palestinians in Gaza - a fight not even involving the US. You think every white woman in America won't lose their shite if some SF guy zips a little brown baby in Juarez?
