So I didn’t watch much of the trial except the closing arguments. An article I read just said all three men face life.
So the third guy can get life for just video taping the incident? The other one just sat in the truck. There was no intention of killing the guy.
If that’s the case, why is no one getting charged from that woman getting raped in Philly on the subway last month? Bunch of people recorded it but did nothing. Seemed they should all get charged with rape if this guy got convicted for murder.

Jesus Christ, how many times do we have to go over this?
He was found guilty of false imprisonment for using his truck to chase down and then corner Arbery. Because Travis McMichael was found guilty of malice murder, the false imprisonment became cause for an elevated charge of felony murder for the two co-defefendants.
It had nothing to do with him videotaping the crime.

He's been getting absolutely rocked in every related thread. It's really becoming impressive how faithfully devoted he is to his stupidity despite many people plainly explaining it in simple terms and gets upset if you point out his fantasy world for what it is.

Yeah the fed does seem to be piling on, but they will probably say that "we need to do this because you never can tell, these baws might get their convictions overturned" thus they play it like a backup sentence in the event that happened. It's still overkill though, IMO.
As for the state sentences, the crimes for which they were convicted are actually the apex of all crimes. The felony murder is actually over and above malice murder in severity. Malice murder carries only life sentence penalty, while felony murder is the apex of all crimes. It's as bad as it gets, carrying possibility of the death penalty.
This next phase (sentencing) is possibly where the "political" aspect could really f*ck them right in the arse. There will be very loud calls to throw them away. Life without parole is actually a real possibility I believe.

No. I watched a lot of the trial and understand the law. They did not seek out to murder him. They could and would’ve shot him the first 4 encounters. Amaud was never shot before he pulled on the shotgun to take it away
You think that they went after him with the intent to murder the guy that fit the description of robberies terrorizing the neighborhood and didn’t shoot him the first 3 times, but were thinking he would grab the gun to give them an excuse to kill him to get away with it???
You keep describing premeditation but that is not the standard under Georgia’s malice murder law - it is simply malice aforethought which can occur almost simultaneously when the act happens and is actually implied when an unprovoked murder occurs.
Pretty standard in most states.
Jury got it right.

True, I was taking a little offense at the red neck attack. WTH?

What happens if Ahmaud is able to grab the gun away from the son?

Of course this is just my opinion, not trying to force it on anybody, but that scenario should be one that supporters of self-defense should praise. Again, JMO.

then he has a chance at justified self defense vs his assailants. maybe he is able to de-escalate once he disarms the assailants, or he ends up having to sling a few shells to end the threat of the aggressors.

This may have been answered. Sorry if it's a repeat question.
Can somebody please explain how they were charged with four counts of murder when there was only one victim?
Thank you.

I believe “malice murder” was the only murder charge in and of itself. The other “felony murders” were death resulting from felony acts. And there were several different felony acts they were charged with, therefore the multiple “felony murders.” All carry life sentences in Georgia.
Only the trigger man was guilty of malice murder. The others were found guilty of felony murder.
Moral of the story, if your neighbors fly by on a truck and shout at you to come help to get a guy…don’t do it.
