It's a direct symptom of living in a big coastal city surrounded by people who are not representative of the average american.
Interesting view, but I think a lot of people are missing the second layer here that is advancing a far left/progressive agenda. One of the far left's agendas (which bleeds over into a wide gamut of people with varied political beliefs) is getting rid of the NFL and tackle football in general. I would not have thought they could turn the NFL's core demographic against them in such a short time. The progressives (which I share very little ideologically with) are extremely good at getting things done when they are not in power.
Downvote all you like but keep in mind the progressives want football as we know it today gone and they have managed to get the Trump Republicans to do the work for them, wrapped in the flag while chanting "Winning". That is real 3D chess.

Every time you post I get more and more concerned that the U.S. navy has lowered its standards so much that you are allowed to serve in it.
ETA: However it does help me understand why ship captains don't seen to know how to avoid letting their navy ships get rammed by cargo boats.

I agree with you completely. But I’m fine with sacrificing this venerable American Institution upon the alter of Progressive Fundamentalism . Because it is only when Americans understand the devastation that Cultural Marxism leaves behind - the way it undermines every American tradition, principle, ideal and institution-that people get angry enough to fight back. Let them destroy the NFL through this and CTE litigation and political cowardice. At this point there is nothing better to shine a light on just who these people are and what they want for America. If the NFL is murdered by Progressivism, so be it.

Like it or not, people like myself and other veterans didn't serve to defend the flag, national anthem or any other US symbol. We served to defend freedom. And a big part of that freedom is the right to protest.
